Uterine Cancer
What a text book experience. I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Mendivil for this procedure. His team at St. Jude's was stellar and his performance was flawless. I say this as my scars are like paper cuts by his expert use of laparoscopic surgery. Recovery was as expected with minimal pain throughout the 6 weeks. I highly recommend this physician.

Took time and listened.
He was kind, he listened. He answered all my questions, and my daughters questions never rushed us one bit. His staff was very efficient ,thorough and actually got back to me in a timely manor.

Kindness, concern, excellence in treatment
I had stage IV ovarian cancer but after care with Dr Mendivil and his team -- now I have none! I was so scared bc my CA125 was so high at diagnosis. I can't say enough about the excellent experience, tho of course I'd prefer not having had cancer. As a patient, I received the best care and outcome possible. Quick return calls, lots of help with my insurance, good self care tips, quick scheduling when needed, excellent surgery (smallest scar!), the best new infusion center. Plus a ton of kindness and hope! Thank you so much Dr Mendivil and team!!!

Dr. Mendivil was excellent. He used the da Vinci procedure to remove 5 large fibroids. This was life changing for me. Thank you Dr. Mendivil for giving me a better quality of life.

he was an ok doctor until he gave my mom immunotherapy and it ended up killing her (he apologized to her for giving it to her) his life goes on while my mothers ended and she was doing so good prior to the immunotherapy!! I feel like she was just a lab rat to him

I first visited Dr Mendivil in April 2013 . He diagnosed my ovarian cancer and set up my surgeries to cure me. I had chemo treatments at his facility in Newport Beach. Unfortunately, my cancer returned in 2017 and again he took excellent care of me.

Dr. Mendivil performed a radical hysterectomy for me in October 2017. In result, he had nicked my bladder and caused a fistula. He did not identify this error and neglected to informed me that this occurred. It wan't confirmed till 2 months later. During those 2 months I had dealt urine leakage and severe muscle spasms that required medication. For 7 months I had to live with a catheter while waiting for the inflammation to subside from the hole in my bladder before I could get my surgery i

He did not take my hysteremy seriously. My fibroid was 13.5cm, as an experienced doctor, he should have recommend c section instead of robotic hysteremy. He should also recommend an urologist on the side to assist not to snap my ureter. He did not take precaution. When I woke up from my hysteremy surgery, four small cuts and a c section. After one and half week, had an emergency to hospital and found my right kidney swollen. My ureter was injured when he took out my uterus. i am still suffering.

I went to Dr Mendivil because my regular doctor thought I might have cancer. It took me 3 weeks to get an appointment. Once I arrived it was over an hour wait. I gather that's the norm as EVERYONE had brought something to do while waiting. Also they do not validate for parking. Once I got in to see the doctor I felt rushed and pressured to make a decision about having radical surgery which my PC agrees I may not need. Needless to say I'm off for a second opinion with another doctor.
