Dr. Albrecht Heyder, MD

His staff is always smiling and getting the job done. I was recommended to Dr Hyder through my brother. I haven't had any problems since I been going there. No long wait or nothing. I have even brought my mother over to him.

AWFUL. Doesn't review charts. No care factor. Office poorly managed. Staff toxic & immature. Caregivers BEWARE.

I met the new provider and she is AMAZING! She took the time to explain everything to me about what happens when I don’t get oxygen to my brain and all the other organs in my body. HIGHLY recommend her!

was just told they will not see me anymore from a missed appointment back in 2020 also staff is rude and hung up on me i will never recommend anyone see them. love doctor Hyder but hate his staff

I referred to his office as Dr. Hyders #hit show and quackery. I waited 6 weeks for an appointment to have Pulmonary Function Test and he said I was there for emphysema treatment and that they don't do PFT at that office. They took my blood pressure with a machine that had to go through the whole compression/decompression cycle three times before getting a number the third time. Obviously my blood pressure was a bit elevated after three back to back tests. They acted put out when I asked them to note the number was the result of the third test.

Run do not walk past Elizabeth City and find a real pulmonologist in Virgina. Horrible experience here.

I found that Dr. Heyder is very pushy and does not listen to or respond to patients concerns. He ha his own preconceived plans and to hell if you don't want it or understand. The office looks like the last time it was redecorated was in the 70's. And there is green carpeting in the exam rooms.....disgusting

I had just developed asthma a year ago due to complications with the flu and I lucky found Dr. Heyder! Him and his staff have been amazing walking me through what to expect and what to do! They treat every patient like family! The whole staff goes above and beyond to help with anything they can and answer every question I have! You can tell the group truly have a passion for what they do!

I will NEVER recommend Albrecht Heyder! He, his staff, totally behind in medicine, not thorough, talks about money in the exam room, rude, only knows one thing, sleep apnea! Asked me a question, then "shushes" me, interrupted me.
