I saw Dr Gikse after the orthopedic surgeon in Charlotte, mi did a partial knee replacement. The glue started coming apart and was a disaster. So just a couple months after the partial he went in to clean it up. Total failure. Worse, he lied about it. Hello, x-ray reports are listed to the UM portal. Basically it was still a disaster Called him a liar and talked out. Gilde basically said the knee had been messed up so bad he would have to do a full and it would now be impossible to get all the tiny pieces of glue out. So, 3 surgeries in 9 months. I had to stay the night and Gilde was in so early the next morning he beat the nurses in doing their rounds! And this was a Saturday morning. Since I was finally getting feeling back into my foot he was going to discharge me and he came back twice to see me. 45 minutes later and an hour can a half later. Again. Saturday morning. Although my knee still hurts I doubt I would be walking if not for Dr Gilde. Best surgeon ever had in 17 surgeries.

I fell & broke my femur in 4 places on the day before Thanksgiving’21. Surgery was done Thanksgiving Day & was done on time for Thanksgiving dinner. Very good job! Excellent care!

I went into see Dr. Gilde about a year ago with debilitating pain in my left hip. Most of the things I liked to do were not possible without extreme pain. I received a left hip joint replacement and could not be happier. Pain is gone and my life is back to normal.... looking forward to a very active life.... thank you Dr. Gilde and OAM.

He's very good at his job! Gets right to business. He took care of my L hip arthroplasty.

Dr Gilde examined my knee and the x-rays of my knee and determined that total knee replacement was a good option. My surgery had to be postponed due to Covid, but finally was done on Jan 31. Currently I am in the midst of healing, physical and occupational therapy. I saw Dr Gilde yesterday. He seemed pleased with his work and I will see him again in a month. He was always asking if I had any questions, explained things thoroughly, and said to call if I had any questions later on. I am very pleased that I chose Dr Gilde to treat me.

Dr. Gilde was referred to me by Dr. Kane my 1st surgeon (retired) - and I am thankful. The procedure was a complete success, the after care was most informative, and the recovery was without complications, I am pain free and can enjoy life as if I was 20 years younger

Dr. Gilde is very kind and caring. He explains everything clearly so I can understand it. He did a great job with an extensive replacement. I would highly recommended him.

Dr Gilde allows enough to time explain things but you aren’t waiting forever. He cares about the patient. His staff is professional and helpful.

Was never seen. Was waiting 1 1/2 hours past appointment. I left with out seeing doctor. Only gave one stare because computer system forced me to give minimum of one. I was never seen.
