Dr. Alex Kesler, MD

Dr. Kesler saved our daughter's life when she was ignored by another doctor ready to retire within the same group. Doc was recommended to us from the nursing staff at one of the facilities my daughter visited for a treatment that did nothing . Dr. Kesler escalated my daughter's case to his colleagues I was determined that she didn't have UC and that was it was in fact, Crohn's disease. With proper medical treatment, my daughter was discharged after many weeks in the hospital. We are forever grateful for the compassionate doctor that paid attention when no one else would listen.

Dr. Kesler has the unfortunate habit of dismissing a patient when worries about treatment plans, or lack-there-of, are brought forward. He also 'doesn't believe' in retesting for things after claiming a positive test was a 'false positive,' all while in the same breath offering another Rx for antibiotics that only treat that same 'false positive.' In after-appointment notes, he berates a patients feelings and worries, labeling them as needing psychiatric care, despite that patient seeing a psychiatrist for many years. We have also reported our interactions with 'Dr.' Kesler to the NC Medical Board for review.
