He is a great doctor. Very thoughtful, nice and intelligent. I was having lots of side effects from medications that were prescribed to me before. He made several changes and now I feel I can function again without feeling lethargic all the time. Highly recommended doctor!

He was my first psychiatrist and made me never want to see one again. The facility had me do a detailed intake exam, with someone else, and when I saw the doctor, he hadn’t read any of it. He spent 5 min asking basic questions about my issues, during which time he said, “Your parents aren’t divorced, so you had a happy childhood, why would you be depressed?” When I asked him if the med he prescribed causes weight gain, he only said “Yes.” No empathy at all. No appt was more than 5 minutes.

Dr K stereotyped my husband right away; he looks like a BIKER. He didn't give my husband a chance to speak & explain his issues. He has been having them for over a decade so we knew what meds works & what doesn't; however, Dr. K didn't care about my husband's tboughts and feelings. Once Dr. K found out his panic attacks are being treated by low dose Xanax he dismissed us saying he couldn't help my husband. They wouldn't refund our copay either. He was rude and ubrupt. I DON'T recommend him.

Was optimistic after my daughter had seen Dr. K for the first time. However, after each visit I was less comfortable. Spent very little time with her, seemed unprepared for her appointments, yet prescribed an additional medication at each visit. After last visit, my opinion is that he is incompetent and dangerous.

I saw Dr. K at the Jamison location and the staff was top notch! They allow more time for him there and, in my opionion, it's all about the people who actually control his schedule not just him. As far as his knowledge goes, let's just say that he got the meds right the first time. I never had that happen in many years. I liked him and that place so much that I brought my family in and my son went into therapy there. I got compassion and support like never before. and made great progress!

Dr. K is definitely unique, but he's undoubtedly the best psychiatrist I've worked with. He always seems so calm, which in turn is calming for me. He explains things in a way that I feel I can understand. I feel like he genuinely cares and he's not just there to write prescriptions. I trust his judgement wholeheartedly.

Dr. Kanevsky is one of a kind. Explained things in a way that I could understand and relate to. Did not just write me a prescription and push me out the door which have been some of my past experience. In addition the Counselors at Hope Springs are awesome, very caring and compassionate.

I had originally been excited to go to Dr. Kanevsky based on what I've read on him and his experience. I've been seeing him for long enough where I can confidently say that he has pushed aside serious mental concerns of mine and has simply given me more medications instead of trying to fix a problem. He probably was once a great renowned doctor but now has too many patients to actually care about them. He is careless with his prescription writing which is dangerous for the mental health field.

It's so sad to see these people who don't get their "benzo's" filled because Dr. Kanevsky is so cautious and actually cares about his patients. I love that he is so relaxed and likes to walk barefeet on the grass in between sessions. I like that he is so supportive and understands me; after 5 psychiatrists I should know! And, by the way, this man is a part of a whole program where the counseling is second to none. It is not the place for you if you want a quick fix!

They made iresponsible decisions to put people into a dangerous medical withdrawl by refusing to refill a perscriptiob because of coming up positive for thc one time.

Dr. K is definitely a one of a kind, very calming and different, but a fantastic psychiatrist. He is always kind and willing to work with any changes or adjustments that may be needed but is strict about using any addictive meds . It was hard to go to another doctor after mine retired. I tried 3 others and could not even understand them (language barrier). I love him and the other staff are so compassionate! I recommended this facility to 2 other people who are currently in their program.

As a professional with several masters degrees, I had done my research for a doctor to replace the one I had been seeing for 12 years. I was looking forward to my meeting with Dr. Kanevsky. As such a highly renown doctor with numerous accolades I expected so much more. At the very minimum, the very least, I did not expect to be literally "dumped" as a client while a professional was titrating down from an opiod medication. Why? I had 13 doctors- 10 from the same spinal pain management office.

First visit was about 10 mins, which didnt give me much time to explain my long history of anxiety meds. Prescribed meds that didnt work in the past. When I mentioned this to him he told me to take more and seemed to want to rush me out of the office. Plus, I had to look at his filthy, bare feet propped up on his desk for the duration of my visit which seemed very unprofessional to me.
