Worst Doctor I've ever seen
The front desk is incompetent. My initial visit, I sat in the waiting room after signing in for an hour and then they called me up to ask for my insurance card. I emailed it to her as requested and waited another half an hour to be called back to a room. Mind you, my appointment was 8:30 am. It was now 10am. The person I saw seemed caring and thought they knew what my causes where and ran several labs. Upon returning to get results (my appointment was at 8am) after 30 minutes was called up to the front desk to say they had no copy of my insurance card. I then explained it was emailed in and they then found it. Sat back down and 30 minutes later was finally called to a room. This time I saw Dr. Roka. Who told me tests showed everything was normal and sent me on my way. I have sense called and left messages to make an appointment for another issue and get no return calls. No one answers the phone, so I am left once again finding a new provider. Don't waste your time.

Practice Excellence
Dr. Roka is extremely knowledgeable and is highly personable with an excellent bedside manner. He and his staff were all extremely helpful and kind to me (including his lovely wife who came and introduced herself and calmed me down when she saw I was not happy about having my blood taken). He scheduled an emergency ultrasound with his ultrasound technician and everything went perfectly fine. I just had to come back two days later at 9 am and I was in and out in 40 minutes with an accurate diagnosis and proper referral to the specialist I need to see for treatment or likely surgical repair. I don’t even understand these bad reviews. The staff must’ve been different then or maybe it’s just spoiled people that don’t understand that a busy Primary Care Physicians medical practice takes some time to get into and not everything is going to go exactly like they want it to EVER! The main reason I’m glad I Doctor animals is they can’t talk like their human owners - so they don’t lie!

Daniel Duran is the Best!
Anytime I need help, Daniel is my go-to! My wife who is also a patient of Dr. Roka tested positive for covid yesterday and she has many underlying medical issues that make her high risk. She had called several of her specialists to request the state monoclonal IV infusion referral with no luck. I call Daniel and he gets the referral submitted within the hour! She's now scheduled to receive this emergency treatment in two days. Can't thank Daniel enough. He's one of the last medical professionals who understands the concept of empathy and demonstrates a genuine sense of caring for the patients each and every time. Again, thank you Daniel!

Very difficult to get appointment. Same message every time. Do not allow you to leave a message. Will have to drive up there in order to make an appt Very poor service. Need to find another family practice doctor. Guess the staff is not interested in answering the phone and helping people. The receptionist needs to be fired....

I went for a wellness check as a new patient. It started out on the wrong foot when the nurse asked me if I wanted an EKG. I asked her if this wasn't' a question for Dr. Roka? The appointment was the strangest I have ever had. He pretty much reviewed my blood work and said see you next year. He never asked if I had any issues or concerns, he did not seem bothered that my blood pressure was high, I think it was 146/90. I was just stunned by the whole encounter. I told him I have COPD and had been advised to get a lung scan annually so he ordered one. It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard from his office. I called and had to leave a message, someone did call back to say it was in his in box but he had not looked at it yet - two weeks!! I am calling them back today to tell them to tell the Dr. he doesn't need to look at it now, I had it sent to someone that gave a flying flip. there is more, but I am out of characters.

I have been a patient of Dr Roka for 20 years. He is a great and caring physician. Luckily, I have only needed his care once or twice a year, but when I needed him, he was there and proactive with referrals to specialist as needed. Last year he referred me to a neurologist. I have been trying for months to get in to see him to tell him I have ALS but no one answers the phone. Last week, after many attempts to speak to anyone, Daniel from billing picked up. I told him that I needed lab orders sent to Quest and an appointment with DrRoka, he took the information, was very polite and said he would take care of it, but it still has not been done. Today, again, I cannot get through to anyone. DrRoka is my primary doctor and I do not want to change, but his office staff has left me no choice. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable, Dr Roka deserves better.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Roka but his entire office staff is down right Hateful Rude condescending and lazy. Completely useless staff! They argue instead of simply doing their job or just refuse to answer the phone! They bring his office down. Sam has been refusing to help in every way and I'm in very poor health. This is absolutely Not okay!

The staff NEVER answers the phone for anything. Appointments, prescription refills NOTHING. I have to call and call and call just to be told the inbox is full and I can't leave a message. It's to the point where I'm about to just find another doctor cause this is ridiculous. Not to mention they never give refills so I have to call every time my prescription is out. So annoying and inconvenient.

The Doctor himself is AMAZING! One of the best doctors we have ever had. This goes towards the horrible staff this amazing doctor has working. Dr. Roka needs new staff! His staff is beyond incompetent! Today I had to call the office to see about my test results- 2nd test results. The first one that was done was rejected by the lab on Monday 9/10 .... I had to call them to check status of my lab. They couldn't even think to give me a call to let me know that my test was rejected. What!!! How unprofessional! Then I call today 09/16 and they still font have my results! They haven't even called the lab!! What is wrong with this staff.

Dr. Roka is an amazing doctor. HIS CURRENT MANAGEMENT STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE. No answer EVER, rude manager named Daniel (?), has taken months to send pre-auth forms for medication I need and when the office eventually sends it, it's incompletely filled. DR. ROKA: YOUR OFFICE IS BEING MANAGED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PRACTICE. PLEASE RECTIFY AND REASSESS YOUR STAFF. I would love to continue seeing Dr. Roka as he's a valuable PCP but wow the staff needs to be increased or re-trained or simply replaced.

It is impossible to even get this practice to answer their telephone, let alone anything else. They are extremely rude and unprofessional, and the worst is that I'm certain that Dr. Roka knows nothing about this. Today 4/21, I finally got through after 3 attempts and in total frustration I told Daniel, office manager, that I insisted on speaking with the Dr. and his words were: "You will NOT speak to the Dr, even if you come in!" and hung up. I had an appt for lab work in mid Jan. that I needed to reschedule but couldn't because no one answers the phone or returns calls, and have never been able to speak to anyone in that office again, until today after hitting the prompt for all services until someone finally answered. I will gladly speak with any governing or reputation management agency necessary so that other patients never have to go through this unprofessional and rude behavior again.

The Rx they gave me necessitated a urine test mandated by federal law. Ok, I have nothing to hide. A month or so later I received a $1000 bill for that test. Apparently the local local Lab Corp wasn't sufficient so they mailed my urine off to SE Missouri Hospital, but the address to pay the bill was in Milwaukee, WI however the PO Box address was in Finland OH, and of course the name of the testing facility was named SE Missouri so who knows where it really was? It certainly wasn't in San Antonio, TX. Repeated calls to the office led to a series of non-returned calls. My insurance declined to cover the cost as not medically necessary but I later found out after taking time to visit the office ( my calls were never returned) that the lab work was coded incorrectly. I penned a group email to Dr. Roka's billing staff but after a month of no reply, I gave up. I was a patient with his office for 16 years. Time for a new family Dr.

Dr. Roka is amazing! He is extremely intelligent, caring and easy to talk to. I always feel like he really hears what I’m saying because he takes his time with me. (He’s never rushed like most doctors these days.) I completely trust his opinion. His staff is caring and kind as well.
