A friend thankfully recommended Dr. Sapega to me. Jefferson Hospital originally sent me to Rothman for a possible torn meniscus. The Rothman doctor I saw was the most ignorant, arrogant person I have ever encountered. He misdiagnosed my issues and as a result I endured one year of unnecessary pain. Dr. Sapega spent time listening to me, sent me for the appropriate tests and finally, one year later, he confirmed the original diagnosis, a torn meniscus!

I saw Dr Sapega for a knee and tibial injury I sustained when leaving my work shift at the hospital. He was courteous, pleasant, and an excellent practitioner. He listened to me , as the patient, and truly seemed like he had an interest in knowing what I was feeling related to my leg. He thoroughly expained the physiology of the injury and what was needed for it to heel both with the radiologic studies and diagrams and physically examining the injured leg. His staff was equally as supportive

I went to Dr. Sapega with a torn meniscus, damaged patella, and a micro fracture. He operated on my knee on a Thursday, I used the leg bending machine along with the ice pack machine that he provide me with and I was back to work on Monday morning without the use of crutches. When I returned to his office on the following Thursday he fitted me with a knee brace and sent me to PT for 1 month(3 visits a week). My knee was back to peak performance in no time at all. Overall great experience!
