Unkind Receptionist
Before taking my loved one to this office, I did read the reviews. I couldn't believe it would be that bad, but it was worse. I have never left a bad review but think it is a must here. The receptionist was unkind and lacked compassion. She refused to wait for the copay from the secondary insurance and wanted it up front. I called the secondary insurance and had a three way call with the receptionist where the insurance agent assured her that she would get paid. She did not accept that as a fact. She lied and said my loved one's insurance was not current. So we paid to see the doctor and was charged a processing fee along with the copay that would be paid by the insurance. I was told we would get reimbursed the copay, minus the processing fee, when they get paid. So, after arguing and unkind treatment, this office showed me they care more for a $50 copay then my loved one. This office lost a wonderful patient with excellent insurance. I would not recommend them.

excellent doctor
I was very impressed with Dr. Alexander Smirnoff. He was professional, and explained my condition well, and the treatment plan was effective. I was very pleased and impressed. Both he and his staff were very professional and pleasant. I am grateful that he was able to treat my condition when no one else could!

Poor Staff interaction with patient
Receptionist spoke to me as of I was trying to be seen without paying. Rude, condescending, and a snotty attitude. I will not be seeing this MD .

Poorly run office
1. I called at 8:10am to reschedule a 4:15 appt and was told I would be charged $75 cxl fee! 2. So I re-arranged my entire day including my husband's caretaker to make the appt. I arrived at 4:10. At 5pm I was still in the waiting room. At 5:10 I was called back, and at 5:30 I walked out. I won't tolerate my time being disrespected when I'm forced to respect the Dr's time with threat of penalty fee. I won't be back.

Worst experience ever
PCP referred my wife for early dementia and seizures. They called us and said they had the referral and set up an appointment. We get there and no one at the counter....my wife APPROACHES the door, not going thru it, and this lady (I hesitate to call her a lady) screeches at my wife to get out and tells her to sit like shes a dog. Then proceeds to tell us that they have no referral and cant see us (after driving over an hour to get there). Of course we dont know whats going on. They called us! My wife had the voicemail where the secretary called and said they had it. We let this harpy hear it and it just inflamed her that she was caught in a lie. This woman is THE MOST rude and condescending person ive ever met and her treatment of people with disabilities is appalling. If I acted like this at work i'd be fired that day. Not recommended to anyone.

Positive experience
I had a very positive experience with Dr Smirnoff. Though I had been told he could be a bit gruff, I did not find this to be the case in either of my visits. He took his time with me, answered my questions, and was quite gentle during the nerve testing of my hand and arm, an uncomfortable procedure. The office staff was friendly and responsive and I did not wait long. I would definitely recommend this doctor.

Very Trustworthy
Having read some of these reviews, I had my doubts. But this doctor is top notch. He's not Marcus Welby, holding your hand and making you feel good. But he's a topnotch doctor that knows his stuff. I trust him completely, and you can't ask for better than that.

The reviews are accurate. Go elsewhere. The front desk is very rude, smart mouthed comments and very unwelcoming. I read this is the Dr's wife which is a shame if true but if you meet the Doctor, you will see they are a great pair. The Doctor , if you like most people prefer a good bedside manner you can forget it. He is rude, no bedside manner and to be truthful he did absolutely nothing. His comments without being specific were shocking that a Physician would speak to a patient in the manner he did. And his visits are expensive to boot. So I would definitely not refer anyone there. Like I said go elsewhere.

He was very professional, taking time to listen to my concerns and answer questions. Dr. Smirnoff is an excellent diagnostician who correctly diagnosed a friend's neurological disease after many doctors could not. The office wait time was long, about 40 minutes, but it was quiet and Covid safe since I was the only patient waiting. I brought my Kindle and used the quiet time to read!

I was shocked and dumbfounded by Dr Smirnoff when he told me that my head, neck and back pain was directly related to my very poor posture. After a full set of MRI, MRA and X-rays that showed a lot of spinal damage, the office set me up with the best PT company that has set a rehab program directly covering my unique problems and, while still a work in progress, I feel significantly less pain and I now have some tools to continue on with my recovery. I thank Dr Smirnoff and his staff for their knowledge and caring.
