My mom went there as a new patient. Not only did a nurse, and the doctor herself, spend an hour asking bizarre psychological questions (even though my mom was not there for any kind of psychological problem), but she then refused to prescribe the only insulin that my mom is able to take for her diabetes. The minute my mom said she does not want to experiment with some new insulin, the doctor immediately dismissed her as a patient. The most bizarre part was not even that. It was the doctor telling me that I should not save my mom if her heart stops at home because her quality of life will not be the same afterwards. My mom did not voice the same desire, and I do not think she would treat her own mother this way if her mother's heart stopped. She would try to do anything in her power to save her. She spent a good ten minutes trying to convince me not to provide medical assistance to my mom if her heart stops. I still cannot believe all this happened during the visit.

Dr. Meier and her staff are extremely confident and competent. In addition, they are friendly, sympathetic, and firm, when needed. They spend sufficient, undistracted time with me. I highly recommend the St. Als. geriatric clinic.

Dr Meier takes all the time needed! She is very compassionate, also listens well. We trust her, like her and recommend her, great doctor!
