He listens, he’s thorough, very intuitive
Doctors don’t get better than Barboi.he really listens to everything and doesn’t discount your symptoms or experience (a rare find in the medical field these days). He has a rare knowledge of dysautonomia that most Neurologists don’t have. He has saved my life at least twice.

Amazing Doctor
I cant even begin to express what an experience it was to see a doctor and NOT leave the office disappointed, gaslit, frustrated and sad. Dr. Barboi was amazing. He listened, validated, and I have an order for autonomic testing. He was so kind. I have never left a dr. appointment with a calm sense of being, I was almost shocked. I will have a name to what has been happening and figure a plan to manage from there. What a relief! It is so refreshing to meet a dr. who provides actual care and doesn’t think I am just a hysterical healthy woman making up symptoms. This experience was so incredibly refreshing. Thank you for taking women seriously.

We were very excited to see Dr. Barboi. He diagnosed our daughter w Pots. That’s as far as it went. Impossible to communicate with. Nurse not very nice. Treatment and constant health challenges were a nightmare. Pills were the answer. Pills didn’t work. Very very disappointed. Didn’t communicate w internal medicine doctor. Many many issues.

When my Husband Jerry seen Dr BARBOI In Wi. At Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee he was fantastic. He diagnosed Jerry with Autonomic disorder. Sadly Dr. BARBOI left Froedtert and is in Illinois now .My Husband hit his head again and has had nothing but problems with, head pressure, dizziness stomach issues, tremors...Jerry has been in the Hospital twice for blacking out and his B.P. dropped extremely low .The neurologists said nothing they could do because its an Autonomic problem We have tried to get him into to see Dr. BARBOI many times with 4 to 5 referrals, and 6-7 phone calls. And we have yet to receive a call back... This has been going on since 2019.. We can't seem to find any help from anyone...Froedtert, Mayo clinic we are at wits end...This is terrible and extremely difficult for him to live like this PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP...

Dr. Barboi actually takes his time and listens to my concerns. He believes what I tell him, and he lets me send in my own vital signs readings electronically to inform his decisons about my care so I do not have to drive all the way to Chicago to see him every time. He asked to look through my medical records binder/journal to help him understand my situation better.

Dr Barboi gave me my life back. I had struggled with health issues that were at times debilitating. After visiting other neurologists, he ran a couple of non evasive tests and had me on a medication that within hours changed my life. I hadn’t done any kind of activity in two years. Now I am living a full, active life again. Thank God for Drs like Dr. Barboi!

I saw Dr. Barboi at the request of my neurologist. I went through 3 hours of autonomic testing. He was in the room with me the entire time. He was incredibly thorough. He came in and explained the results immediately after and gave me tips and treatment options. He is a "go to" expert for EDS and autonomic dysfunction. He is hard to schedule appointments with, but if you have EDS, he should not be your main physician-- your rheumatologist should be. He does regularly talk with my other drs.

The staff are unprofessional, disrespectful and incompetent. I had an EMG and was told I would hear from the.doctor in a few days. When I called a couple of weeks later I was assured the someone would call within the hour after 3 hrs I went to the office where I was given excuses. I was and am in extreme pain they gave me an antidepressant which did nothing. I got a copy of the report was told to see my PCD for pain meds and am awaiting an apology. There is no follow up or caring

This doctor saw me once and determined that I had POTS. He did not explain what that was and did not address many other symptoms that I had and did not tell me what I could do to get better. His next appointment was over 6 months away because he has too many patients. Good luck ever seeing him more than one time. Other than a diagnosis which may not be true after all, he did not help me at all which is appalling. I did not witness any teamwork at Northshore either as they claim.

I would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone having an issue that they can't solve! I've been experiencing a condition for 6 years and have seen more than 30 doctors around the country and have been given the wrong diagnosis many different times! This doctor is very intelligent and very thoughtful he spent over 2 hours with my parents and with me to give the correct diagnosis of POTS! Dr. Barboi is DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The staff is very FRIENDLY too!

Dr. Barboi is an excellent physician. He spent ample time answering my questions during my appointment. He is always quick to respond to email messages and truly cares for his patients. Dr. Barboi was one of the only physicians I dealt with who listened to all of my symptoms and correctly diagnosed me. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Barboi is one of the friendliest easiest to get along with doctors that I have known. He is incredibly intelligent and was able to diagnose my autonomic dysfunction after I had seen several doctors and was told that it was all in my head. He saved my life on a couple of different occasions. I have never felt more well then when I was treated by him and I'm sorry that he no longer lives in my area. I have referred friends and family to see him as well.
