Dr. Alfred Lavi, MD

This doctor called his patients “scary”, he makes statements that don’t make sense. He doesn’t even allow guests to come with disabled people. He also refuses to complete disability benefit applications. What’s even weirder is that his clinic is full of unprofessional medical students that makes false statements to his patients. In my case, they claimed I need to take certain vaccines but when I was at different clinics, they told me it’s not necessary. And also, check-in area can take one to two hours. Don’t declare him as your primary care physician or something because he doesn’t care about his patients.

Highly educated, well informed, compassionate and humble. Truly one of a kind.

This is the worst medical care or lack there of that I've experienced in my 40 years on earth. Located in a strip mall above a discount shoe store, this is everything that you can expect in a walk in clinic, from the waiting room more depressing than the DMV to the unqualified practitioners. Expect to start with a medical student that has not read or has difficulty reading your chart, then perhaps you will meet with a PA. I had to change my medical group to keep my pain management doctor so that's how it ended up at Dr. Lavi. I had been on testosterone for years but they wouldn't prescribe it. They referred me to an endocrinologist that took months to get an appointment with 15 miles away from my house only to have the woman tell me I don't know why they sent you here and referred me to a urologist. Also 15 miles away from my home another two months later that said, I don't know why they sent you here. Thad been on a specific sleeping medication that they do not prescribe so they refe

The doctor and staff ignored and ridiculed my health problems. I was shamed when I came to them for help. I was sick, scared, and not sure what to do. When I asked for a doctor, and not a student intern, I was scolded for seeking privacy for my health.

Was quick and efficient. The doc knew exactly what to do and I’d definitely visit again.

Had the most amazing experience with United Care! I came in with an appointment as a new patient a few days ago and was treated so warmly by students and staff. After my physical was done by a very competent and friendly student Dr.Lavi himself popped into the room to meet me and introduce himself. I really felt the family dynamic!

Just goes through the motions like every other doctor, doesn’t actually care about the patients wellbeing

This doctor calls me "scary" when I first met him at January 6. He thinks I am scary, but he is scary to me since he called me like that. And also, when I tried to schedule an appointment on him, he refuses to show up by bringing his stupid assistants and they have trouble understanding on what I said. Beware of this doctor you guys.

This is a teaching practice. Dr. Lavi has several rotating PA students (physician assistants) who you meet with upon visiting. I used Dr. Lavi's practice as primary physician so went often for several issues and each time met with different assistant...fustrating having to give my history/meds, etc... over and over and over..... maybe only his medi-cal patients see student PAs??? Dr. Lavi I found to come off very egotistically when he did grace me with his presence. He doesn't transition well from hanging out in the office with his adoring students to walking down the hall and interacting with a worried patient. This kind of practice is better suited if you have a onetime issue - like an urgent care if your desperate.

Amazing physician and very friendly staff! He addressed all my concerns and made me feel very comfortable in his care. He is very knowledgeable in his scope of practice and gave me great referrals with a fast turn around time for my prescriptions. If you’re looking for an attentive physician that provides quality care to his patients, I highly recommend Dr. Lavi!

Sadly the worst Physician! ethically bankrupt. The clinic stopped taking my calls with out any reason. He refused to treat or have his referral coordinator supply my basic supplies and referrals. I received a letter terminating any relation because I'm an addict. I filled a complaint with all appropriate agencies and State board. I'll reserve my judgment bout the guy but I will say the clinic is set up like a police division or intake Down right depressing place with out dated equipment jail like colors. I have to say the staff was nice to me but do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

TOP OF ARROGANCE AND INDIFFERENCE towards patients. 2 appointments, both waiting time 2 - 2,15 hours. Dr. Spends 3 minutes with us. On 2nd time They Told me that the child has no file (from previous appointment) because he didn't have physical exam (read: “jabs”) I asked the doctor to change ( resubmit) our referrals HE LIED, saying that I have to do it through the insurance provider. I checked with insurance in advance, and They did confirm that all authorizations can be submitted by primary physicians ONLY. despite that he still refused to file for the authorizations, and ignored our serious medical conditions.

He reminds me of George Coloney in ER show. Super hot and smart. Highly recommended.

Dr. Lavi is simply the best doctor I ever had. There's not much more to say than that. Smart, caring, attentive, available, he is what everyone is looking for, genuine, a deep level of knowledge. As a primary care physician, he (along with the staff and students) are real advocates for you if you're dealing with issues in the insurance system. I can't begin to tell you the way he cared about what I was going through and how he and his staff went the extra mile to help with issues I had.

Dr. Lavi embodies what a true physician needs to be: Caring+knowledgeable and patient. My whole entire family truly loves this man

World Class! He sat on the floor with my child to keep her calm and was playing with her for over 5 minutes so she does not get scared! I saw him teaching his residents with such a calm manner and patience. He is a genius, kind, caring, loving and passionate doctor. I truly love him.

Words can NOT describe my sense of appreciation for Dr. Lavi. He literally saved my mother's life last week after having a massive heart attack. If it was not for his precise diagnosis and fast action plan, I am not sure what would have happened to my mom. I am a certified ultrasound technician and have worked with many fine doctors, but I have never seen anything like him.

The staff at this office is welcoming and helpful with answering all my questions. Everyone has been friendly and accommodating each time I've come in for an appointment. The students here are knowledgable and considerate. Dr. Lavi is an exceptional doctor who is very intelligent and understanding. I've had different experiences with other primary care physicians in the past, but I will keep coming back to this office because of my pleasant encounters with Dr. Lavi and his great staff.
