A really caring, and thorough physician
Dr. Fakhreddine is one of my all-time favorite physicians. He truly listened to my concerns, ordered appropriate testing, and was responsive in conveying results. I understand some people's frustration with the delay to get in to see him, it took me quite a while, but that's a Scripps issue, not Dr. Fakhreddine. He and his staff were also very responsive to any communication through the portal. If you have a non-urgent issue, then I recommend him highly, if it's something that is urgent, you may need to go outside of Scripps to be seen sooner.

I’ve been seeing Dr Fakhreddine periodically for the past 1.5 years and he’s been personable and helpful. However, I started having problematic symptoms in May and took his first available appt, which was late august. I received a phone call in July that Dr F needed to reschedule my appt so his office pushed it back to September. I’m having symptoms this entire time so am understandably frustrated at the 4 month time lag to see him. I messaged him via the portal a few times and he was responsive at first but then stopped responding. I am in excruciating discomfort every day so saw another GI dr at a different facility. The day of my sept appt finally rolls around and after waiting in the virtual waiting room for 45 minutes his medical asst calls me and says that since I’ve seen another GI provider in the past few months, Dr F won’t see me. She was incredibly rude about it, interrupting me, speaking to me at a very intense volume and tone, and they cancelled my appt day-of.

Dr. Fakhreddine is one of the best Physician I have ever had. He takes time as I need to listen to all my concerns and answer all of my questions. He always spent the time to explain the tests that I need and the plan he had for me. I feel so much better, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a GI physician.

Dr Fakhreddine was my Dr for several months during which I had severe abdominal distention for around 5 months. At first I thought my experience was going to be positive because he seemed to be listening in a way I felt I was being heard. But he never ordered imaging, and it turned out I had been dealing with a nearly 15 cm hernia that needed emergency surgery by the time I presented to the ER. He could have ordered a CT scan, which is how it could have been seen, according to my hernia repair surgeon. Dr F. just told me to continue taking medications, many of which made other conditions worse. I must have sent him around 5 messages re: the distention over the course of those months. I’ve hesitated to write negative reviews in the past but have seen many sad things happen to myself and others due to poor performance of doctors. I am disappointed in the level of care. I'm changing to a new GI doc who checks their messages and orders testing. That's why I have insurance.

The wait is very extreme to get in when you show up for an appointment. For example 20 minutes in the waiting room and 1 hour in his office alone before telling the staff I was leaving and finally being seen. He did testing on me but did not consider the whole picture and was convinced I had IBS when I have proof now that I didn’t and tried hard to get him to believe me to no avail. He also never responds to messages. After a few appointments I moved on.

This wonderful doctor diagnosed my disorder that I had been suffering from for almost 17 years because he listened! I am thrilled that my primary care doctor sent me to see him. I am able to smile and go out in public with no worries! A big thank you to this doctor!
