Dr. Alice Denton, MD

She has terrible bedside manner, most unprofessional doctor I have met. She cut me off multiple times in every appointment, not allowing me to fully explain. If you have anxiety and difficulties with communication, do NOT see her. She will make assumptions, will not let you finish speaking. My last and final appointment with her I tried to answer a question with a description, stating it was similar to sciatica. I was going to say that I don't know that that's it, just the best way to describe the pain. As soon as she heard sciatica she got angry, said she is there to diagnose, does not like when patients self diagnose. Would not let me explain that is not what I was doing. She got louder as she cut me off to the point of yelling. I struggle with eye contact and was trying to not panic as she yelled at me. She stopped mid sentence to demand I look at her as she yelled at me. I wish I just got up and left. She is despicable, a horrible example of a doctor.

Doctor does not have good bedside manner. She also freely gives medications and is not good at talking with clients about those medications.

She's easy to talk to and is straight forward. I've never had to question (in 25 years) where she stood regarding my care. She's honest and engages me in the process of my own health care by collaborating on decisions with me, which she can do because she took the time to get to know me.

I have been Dr Denton's patient for over 15 years. She has always been very through and professional. She always takes the time to explain things.

I made a call to the nurse with questions, which ended with me questioning the medications that Dr. Denton had me on. The nurse became frustrated that she couldn't answer my questions and started to verbally express that frustration. At that point Dr. Denton got on the phone and yelled at me for questioning the nurse. Apparently nurses only relate information and I shouldn't be asking them questions. I left the practice! It's easy to get into her...very few patients....for a reason.

Has always taken plenty of time to review all the symptoms, asks about family, stressors, etc and provides comprehensive care. She has taken excellent care of me when I have been quite ill. I drive from Akron to Medina to see her. A very intelligent and insightful internist. She monitors my chronic conditions well and expects me to follow through with blood work and visits.

Dr Denton took the time to go over medical history and explain things to me in detail.
