If you are disabled/medically complex, steer clear
I've been a patient of Dr Zacarian for about two years. I liked her in the beginning because she gave me referrals to specialists easily, as I tried to figure out what was happening with my body. After I was diagnosed with several chronic conditions, it became clear that she wasn't going to participate in the long term management or prescribe any medications recommended by the specialists. I also asked for her to sign accessible parking pass request, after months of intense joint pain leading me to barely function, and she straight up refused. More interested in pawning off medically complex patients to anyone else. Additionally, her nurse practitioner, who I saw because I couldn't get an appt with her until over a year later, does not know how to treat patients in ED recovery. I disclosed that I am recovering from a restrictive eating disorder, and she looked at BMI and looked back at me, and suggested seeing a nutritionist for weight loss. Find another provider!
