Long Term Patient - Low Quality Care
I am in my 30's and have been visiting doctor baker since I turned 18 as my original care physian ran far away from UPMC's network. Doctor Baker is a great person to talk to, however getting her to believe you have pain, or are having problems is a lost cause to try to convey. If you can get her to belive you its impossible to follow up in a timely way. The nursing staff is hit or miss, most wont tell you the correct information you ask for. In the last 6 years 5 of my Annual check ups (Set for over a year in advance) were rescheduled within 2 weeks of my appointment and 'the next appointments' are months later. The staff in the (new gulag set up) facility are rude, not friendly and do not have the knowledge to explain or care. If you care about your health, i wouldn't recommend you going to her if you are under 60, if you have any conditions or dieases that arent common, or expect to have a great line of communication, or want correct information all the time about your health.

I suffered anxiety and avoided doctors until I started seeing Doctor Baker. She is very knowledgeable. She keeps up to date with new treatments, medications and tests. She is pleasant to deal with and has a great bedside manner. She listens well and never rushes you out the door. She has guided me through some very dark medical times and has shown the trust I have placed in her has been well deserved. I recommend her to anyone and everyone I can. My entire family sees her now.
