From beginning to end we had a disappointing experience Dr. Marks and with this practice. I would HIGHLY recommend pursuing any other available options. Please read all of the other 1 star reviews for this practice and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. Just awful.

Doctor & Staff unprepared and unorganized
Scheduled an appointment as a transfer patient 3 months in advance w/Dr. Nayak. When I never heard back w/confirmation, I called. The office didn't have us in the system despite spending nearly an hour on the phone w/Marylee discussing transfer paperwork, new patient info, & child's medical condition. Was told the new system purged new patients and it all had to be redone/rescheduled. Heated dicussions were had w/staff & w/Marylee because we had already had the bloodwork done as instructed. Levels were elevated & a doctor needed to be seen by this point. We were rescheduled with Dr. ALICIA MARKS. Dr. Marks was unprepared, had no idea why she was seeing us, never looked at childs transfer paperwork to educate herself on condition to be treated, saw lab work just that morning and inreased medication. From start to finish this office made mistake after mistake and after seeing Dr. Alicia Marks just once we will not return. Referring doc has been informed.

Didn't run test b/c knew the answer -she was wrong
We took my son to see Dr. Marks beginning at age 2. For two years, he was "monitored" and we were told that he's just a late bloomer, we just need to be patient. We went back at age 5 as he had not shown any increased growth velocity and were told the same thing. Asked about repeating blood work done 3 years ago, told it's unnecessary. Asked about doing a Stimulus test to ensure he's not deficient, we were told she didn't see the need for it when she "already knew the answer." Got a second opinion - did the stimulus test. He failed big time and is growth hormone deficient. Glad I listened to my gut but makes me mad that a doctor didn't want data points.

We've moved a few times, and each time have had difficulty finding an endocrinologist that is a good fit. At our first appointment with Dr. Marks, I found her to be very patient, very caring, and listened and answered all questions without ever making us feel like we were taking up her time. I think we found a great fit!

Dr . Marks is a good doctor, very caring. Her staff is disappointing. Been waiting over a week for them to speak with pharmacy. My son has already been in the er over this. When patient services does finally call, they lie, and are very rude and unhelpful. On call doctor said I was "a liar and being silly". Unfortunately, we will be seeking care somewhere else. Nothing against the good doc, but that staff is dangerously incompetent.

Dr. Marks has been willing to confer with other doctors about my child and pursue the best treatment for him. She has listened to us and genuinely includes us in course of care decisions. We recommend her to other families having issues with other doctors not listening to them and seemingly avoiding current research.

She is amazing. We have struggled for years trying to figure out what was going on with my child. When we were explaining everything we explained that that everyone made us feel like we were crazy. She knew exactly what was going on just by our story and then the tests confirmed everything. I highly recommend her

She was very thorough in her discussion. However I felt that she was very quick to prescribe medication for my young child who had one elevated thyroid test. Thankfully I didn't start him on the medication and got a second opinion from another pediatric endocrinologist who had a very different opinion than Dr. Marks on medicating young children without proper testing. He is now stable and not on a life long medication.
