Phenomenal Doctor
Dr. Vogell takes the time to genuinely understand what you’re dealing with and takes your health concerns seriously. I’ve had so many doctors trivialize my pain over the years. It wasn’t until after my surgery that I realized how great life can be without chronic pain. I am now pain free and my quality of life has improved significantly. If you’ve been suffering with severe menstrual pain, make an appointment with Dr. Vogell. It will change your life. She is empathetic, kind, and a top expert in her field. Tufts was not a great hospital to deal with and I did have issues with them, but I’d do it all over again in order to receive the care I got from Dr. Vogell. Can’t recommend her enough.

Highly recommend Dr. Vogell
I had a very positive experience at Dr. Vogell’s office. The support staff and medical assistant truly shined with their professionalism and kindness. Dr. Vogell was exceptional in her approach, taking the time to explain my condition in detail and offering several treatment options for me to consider. Her caring and attentive demeanor made me feel heard, seen, and genuinely cared for. I left her office with a sense of reassurance and confidence in my care. I highly recommend Dr. Vogell to anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable gynecologist.

One of the rudest doctors I’ve encountered
A PCP referred me there stating (her words) that I “had a hormonal imbalance that needed to be addressed”. So at my visit with Dr Vogel I repeated just that, “a PCP referred me here stating I had a hormonal imbalance that needed to be addressed” and Dr Vogel responded “Um what? What does that even mean? That doesn’t even make any sense” in the rudest tone possible. The medical assistant looked at me mortified. I snapped back af her and said “again, I didn’t say this, the PCP did so you can go ask her to elaborate.”And she rolled her eyes at me. Thankfully she left Lahey Health and I never had to deal with her again.

Dr. Vogell is amazing! I saw her for the first time a couple of months ago. She noticed that my blood pressure was high. She looked back at my prior visits with other providers and noticed that my blood pressure had been high during those visits too - and no one ever said anything. She suspected it could be my birth control pill so she transitioned me off that pill and on to a different one. She set me up to see a PCP for follow-up blood pressure checks and after a month by blood pressure returned to normal. She was right. I was so thankful for her thoroughness and diligence. I feel confident having her as my doctor that I am in excellent hands! I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Vogell is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She took time to explain why I was having so much discomfort, and performed my laparoscopic surgery last week. Dr. Vogell stopped by the day of my surgery to see if I had any more questions and to see how I was doing. I know she had a full schedule that day, but she was in no rush when speaking with me. My laparoscopic surgery ended up being a lot more involved than anticipated, but Dr. Vogell took care of it. Dr. Vogell is the best!

So knowledgeable & kind! I first went for b.c. - she gave me all the options in detail. I chose the IUD & she inserted that & made sure to make it as comfortable as possible. After unknown cramping I went back to visit - she ordered tests - I found out I had ovarian cysts & she explained my options. Dr. Vogell was so kind throughout it all & performed the surgery. She is very thorough & open to all questions. I'm so grateful for her! (I feel silly rating a Dr., but she's so great!)

Dr. Vogell always explains test results/procedures and takes as much time as necessary to answer questions, which isn't always the case with medical appointments. She is very pleasant and I'm thrilled with my experiences with her to date.

While it was easy to get an appointment, I found Dr. Vogell rude and unpleasant. During the first appointment, after minimal conversation she discouraged me and my husband from conceiving and insinuated he is unfaithful and I should get tested to be sure. Very surprising that she was so unprofessional, especially considering I'm a Lahey employee! I won't be going back.
