Dr. Alissa Floman, MD

I had my surgery consult with her and it was absolutely terrible. She is very condescending and treats you like you're less than. She tries to make "jokes" that are completely inappropriate. Her explaining is very vague and if you don't understand she just stares at you. I have to have a procedure with her soon and I'm completely terrified because I don't trust that she will take care of me like a doctor should. She's okay with leaving foreign objects in your body and treats you like you're uneducated for wanting them out. Her "jokes", 'so you want me to take your uterus out' laughing. Well I wasn't and wasn't implying that. What happened to treating people with respect regardless what they look like.

Dr Floman was the on-call OB when my daughter was born. I had never met her before. She was extremely unpleasant and acted as if my birth was a burden to her. I could say a lot more about the outcome of my delivery with her and complications that arose, but instead I’ll just say she is the reason I chose midwifery care and a birth center for my next child.

Dr Floman was the best. she was detailed and compassionate. I felt safe and comfortable in her care. She was like a sister or best friend. My birth Plan took a turn when I was told I would not be able to have a natural birth. Dr Floman was there as a shoulder to cry on as well as my support advocate. My baby was born on Christmas Eve healthy beautiful, and I have an almost invisible scar. Well done. I would recommend Dr Floman to anyone in the area for their OBGYN needs. She’s wonderful.

I went to Dr Floman for prenatal care. I tried talking to her about likelihood of having another c section and was telling her my previous birth experience. She told me my experience wasn’t that bad and that even though I was in labor 36 hours on Pitocin that it “wasn’t really labor” Because I had a c section after due to not progressing after 4 cm. She was the first person to make me feel terrible about my birth experience. I had her for two appointments and both times she acted like her own sh*t didn’t stink.

Dr. Floman went above and beyond my expectations! I had to have a uterine biopsy and was scared and nervous about the results and the discomfort of the procedure. She put me at ease and talked me through every step before and during the exam as well as made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Then she personally called me to tell me the results and made sure I understood all of my options. I highly recommend seeing her!

I really appreciate how much time this doctor takes with me at each appointment. She really listens and ask questions no one has in the past. She explains in an easy way I can understand why I feel like I do and what I can do for it.

Inever returned after a procedure. She was very humiliating and unprofessional. She even made a derogatory remark in regards to my signature "That's a signature; I thought it was scribble" I would discuss the procedure, but it's too embarrassing; I asked prior to the procedure was it painful and she replied "I don't know I never had it done" As a health care provider myself in training we are told what to tell our patients to expect. every procedure we perform will not be experienced personally.

Dr. Floman is very friendly and professional. She took her time with me, didn't rush me along and made sure that she had answered any questions I had. I was very impressed.

She is very friendly and open about talking about sensitive subjects.
