Worst neurologist I’ve ever been to.
Worst neurologist I’ve ever been to. She didn’t believe my symptoms and completely dismissed me. Told me everything was in my head and that I needed to stop faking it. I went to another neurologist in a different network and it turns out I tested positive for Myasthenia Gravis… all she needed to do was a few extra tests on me but she was unwilling to do anything more. It’s a shame because women in the medical world should be advocates for their fellow women. This doctor has poor bedside manner and a condescending air. Don’t go to her. You won’t get the help you need.

Can not recommend. I had high expectations of Lehigh Valley Neurology because LVHN has such a good reputation. But, they really let me down. I've been going there for almost two years for nerve pain and muscle weakness, and haven't even had an EMG. My first doctor left after my first appointment, and I was left in the hands of a very capable PA. I had two appointments with this PA, and she ordered MRI's. But, when I finally had my appointment with Alissa E. Romano, she treated it like a new patient appointment, and I had to start all over again. Nothing was accomplished during this visit. She's very disorganized, a lot of interruptions, can find medical records. Also, she's a fairly new doctor. Has been practicing about 5 years as far internet records go. Her personality is odd. Doesn't listen. Smiles at inappropriate times. I wish I had never gone to LHVN. I wasted almost two precious years. Lehigh Valley Health Network may be a fine medical facility, just not LVNG

I recently had an inital appointment with Dr. Romano. After reading other reviews, I wanted to comment as, I had a good experience. She listened, recommend tests as well as follow up appt. Her treatment approach for me did not include any medication. She was knowledgeable of past and current difficulties and took the time to explain, in detail, information that applied to my specific situation. I felt she was very honest, which I appreciated. I would recommend her to others.

Dr. Romano was late to both of my appointments, completely forgot everything we discussed at my first appointment, was dismissive of all of my complaints, her answers to my complaints were to increase my medications rather than continue to find the cause. Dr. Romano does not respond back on the patient portal, does not return phone calls or emails. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Patronizing & dismissive demeanor. She said the referring doc had given up on me. That was rude. No treatment or prognosis offered - ultimately a good thing because her evaluation was totally incorrect. The wait time for an appointment was 4 months. Just a total waste of my time.

Dr. late for appt. with excuses and pager disrupting her concentration on my evaluation (claimed it was her boss trying to find out where she was). Asked questions but did not get everything entered into her computer becuase she didn't remember a complaint about my back said "Oh,yes you did tell me about that." Then I had to request an MRI. She also ordered blood work.Had to call the office to get results because I didn't hear from her. This is only the tip of the issues I encountered with her

If you are assigned this doctor through triage, demand someone else. I met with her once, and she did not tell me to make a follow-up appt. She had me do a blood test but no other tests. I developed neuropathic pain that I could not cope with. Repeated calls and messages to her went unanswered. I was begging for help. Eventually, she called back and said that she believed I had a neuropathy. What kind? What options do I have? She offered no treatment plan, just live with it.
