Recommend for a neuropsych assessment
I was referred to Dr. Iospa Psychiatry Consulting by my neurologist at Weill-Cornell for a baseline neuropsychological evaluation. I had the good fortune of being scheduled with Dr. William Lu. I was immediately reassured by the professionalism of the office as well as Dr. Lu's kind welcome. His interview was conversational and probing, conveying interest in who I was, rather than just churning out the test. I learned a lot about myself that day, many thanks to Dr. Lu's keen expertise, insightfulness, caring manner and ultimately, his professional assessment. I have since followed up with him on related matters, and he responded quickly and helpfully. I would highly recommend Dr. Lu for anyone in the market for a neuropsych evaluation, and the office would be my go-to for treatment.

I cannot recommend Dr. Alla Iospa enough! After years of struggling with anxiety and depression, she has truly helped me turn things around. From the start, she made me feel comfortable and hopeful, providing exceptional care and support. She recommended neuropsychological testing with Dr. Lu, which I was initially anxious about. However, the process was incredibly insightful and has been pivotal in shaping my treatment plan. Dr. Lu was thorough, kind, and supportive, making the experience far less daunting than I expected. The entire practice is exceptional. Dr Iospa is attentive and always responsive, and her assistants are kind, efficient, and easy to work with.

Dr. Iospa helped me with my issues when I wasn’t feeling well and got me to a place where I am feeling great. She is warm and compassionate and showed a genuine interest in me. She takes the time to explain everything and see to it that I am doing well. Her office team is incredible, they do everything 100% correctly and are always in touch with any changes or updates and you never have to worry.

I've seen a number of psychiatrists over the past decade and Dr. Iospa is by far, the best psychiatrist I have ever worked with. She takes the time to listen, educate you and doesn't rest until she feels you are on the best plan of treatment. Her office team also goes above and beyond for their patients, from appointment scheduling (always working to make time work for you) to working with insurance teams, they are so kind and willing to help. I was referred to Dr Iospa and despite being an out of network provider for me, I'll continue to work with her for the foreseeable future. She's set the bar for how the type of psychiatric care available and I cannot thank her and her office enough. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would.

Alla saved my life. I was in such a fragile state when I first met her. After one week I felt like my old self and it only got better from there. It's amazing how quickly things can change. She took the time to understand me. I received a proper and accurate diagnosis. She created a wellness path that we walked together. I felt like I was part of a team. I no longer had to do this alone. I'm doing so well, years later, because of Alla.

I've been a patient of Dr. Iospa now for about 4 years and her patience, genuine care, and proactive ways naturally created a nourishing relationship one normally doesn't experience with psychiatrists. She really helped me have patience with myself to find the best course of treatment for me. I've never lasted this long nor had this much success with any psychiatrist and she is around my 6th here in my 20 years in NY. Because she really cares, it helped me care about my mental health more. If you go, and you feel grateful after a time, be sure to let her know. :)

Dr. Iospa is an extraordinary doctor. The first time I met with her, she spent almost 2.5 hours talking to me and asking me every question I could imagine to make sure her advice was well-founded. She is always considerate and makes as much time for you as you need. She truly wants what is best for you.

Good doctor, nice setting, calls back same day. She shares office with Psychologists, so I decided to take the neuropsychological testing that was offered to me. Some of them work late hours and weekends.

I liked her a lot but I felt like she did not hear me or take me seriously when I repeatedly said I did not want to take Xanax or something similar because of a family history of addiction. She kept suggesting it to me. The opioid problem is real and at the very least, a doctor should respect when someone says no and not bring it up again.

When my father started showing signs of memory loss I brought him to Perl Barlow Memory Center, the Neurology group at NYU. They prescribed some meds and referred him to Dr. Alla Iospa for evaluation, because he mentioned suicidal thoughts. Dr. Iospa insisted on immediate hospitalization. I was angry and devastated. I called her the very next day and said some harsh words, I was out of line and rude. She encouraged us to seek 2nd opinion, if I disagree. Now my father is back from the hospita

I came to Dr. Iospa during a real low point in my life. Starting with the receptionist her office was inviting and made me feel comfortable, her staff are courteous both on the phone and in person and i pleasantly surprised to see that there was no double booking in the office. if you have an appt, its your appt. The doctor was encouraging, warm and helped me through my issue. i am pleased to report that i am doing much better thanks for her and her staff and I would definitely recommend her.
