Had a FOUR MINUTE appointment with Dr. Gowda
Telehealth
I've had two appointments with Dr. Gowda and am asking Stanford to switch me to a new provider. Not only was my first appointment less than 20 minutes, my follow up appointment was four minutes long. She has been completely non-responsive to my contacting her through MyHealth.

She is technically very good and has been friendly
In January, I saw the MD in her office. After telling her how bad my back pain had been and that it was now in my hip, she misdiagnosed me with trochanteric bursitis. I had a worthless injection in my hip on January 25. Dr Gowda was 2 and a half hours late getting to the hospital. I asked the scheduler for another date and he said April. The April injection in my back didn't work. I asked Mario for another date in the next week and he said she doesn't schedule out that far. Are you kidding Mario? He said well I'm not a Doctor. I said I'm a nurse but anyone should know that I could have had the injection in my back since it was a different site, much sooner. Meanwhile I had an MRI and Dr Gowda agreed I needed surgery which I had a week ago in Carmel. You got it the whole experience was like night and day. My only other choice would have been Salinas. I am not a PAMF patient and they aren't taking new medicare patients. The medical care and availability in Santa Cruz is pitiful.

Dr. Gowda and her staff are the most unprofessional and rude medical providers I’ve ever had to deal with in 61 years. Their phone will continue to ring if you’re trying to reach their office, and will ultimately go to voicemail or you will be put on hold for an extended period and the call gets dropped off from the system. Her quality of medical services are subpar and And she as well of her staff love to talk over and belittle patients and after 13 months I’ve had to seek services from another provider that is day and night difference from what I’ve been exposed to. I highly recommend seeking another pain specialist.

I went to her after my Dr. Left town. She has NO IDEA about what is like to be in pain. Swishes in with 4 inch held when I could barely walk. She is no help and critical of past treatment. Told me to get a hip replacement when it turned out I had bursitis. Stay as far away as possible from this lady. She has no compassion

I have spent the past three years with Pain Medicine doctors from all around the country, and this woman is by far the worst. She almost delights in telling you bad news, and offers no solutions. I've had my fair share of apathetic or worn out doctors, but Dr. Gowda is so careless that I'm shocked she isn't constantly battling negligence charges. I never leave reviews, well, anywhere, but I want to warn anyone who is considering seeing this woman to please, please, see anyone else.

She is pain management dr who doesn't prescribe pain medication, not even Tramadol which is a non narcotic medication. Her awnser to solving my pain issue with four herniated disc was to go that I should go swimming. I would love to go swimming but I can't cause everything hurts, that's who I am here! Waist of time and money.

Do not recommend this Dr. or clinic. Very long wait for a one minute appointment. This Dr. didn't ask me anything about why I was there. Is this a medicare clip joint?
