i would highly recommend him
He has a real at ease, down to earth personality that would put any high anxiety patient feel more relaxed. He truly listens and looks you straight in the eye. Since I am a retired nurse of 51 years and worked cancer before, I would give him 10 stars!!!

Excellent doctor, very down to earth, easy to talk to, listens to your concerns and takes time to explain any treatment you will get. He was my doctor while getting radiation treatments for prostate cancer.

Dr. Alvarez performed HDR Brachytherapy on my 88 year old mother for tiny skin cancer spots on her legs. The radiation caused LARGE horrific burns that will not heal and are now infected. She has been receiving wound care daily as her health declines due to the 6 month battle against pain and swelling. I have to question whether my formerly healthy, active mother was ever a candidate for this treatment with poor circulation in her legs. After a follow up visit, he suggested using honey as a healing agent and was content to not see her again for 3 months. Family members sought wound care, not Dr. Alvarez. It appears that Dr Alvarez has micro-specialized and has no concern for patients beyond his own treatment room.
