I have been a patient with him since 2019 and he was great at the start. He really helped me find ways to live a normal live with an incurable chronic condition. Sometime after the pandemic, it all went downhill. There was a time that I would wait 45min - 1hr after checking into my appointment to be seen, he started forgetting important details about my care, he has raised his voice with me over things that were never communicated with me, it takes ages to get a hold of anyone in the office, and it doesn’t seem like anyone at the office cares if you have an urgent need and need to be seen. It will take forever to book anything and when you’re in the appointment, he asks why you didn't come in sooner, he talks over you, doesn’t listen, makes assumptions, rushes the appointment and even threatens to drop you as a patient if you question anything he says. Maybe it’s because I have been a patient for so long, but he is a little too comfortable speaking to me like a child. Its incredibly condescending. It’s disappointing because he was such a good and caring doctor, and I wouldn’t know where else to go for care.

I thank God for this Dr!
I have had noticable issues with my heart since I was 14. But all anyone ever said was spontaneous tachycardia... had doctors straight tell me there wasn't anything that they could do to cut salts out of my diet and all the time I kept feeling worse. I was feeling so hopeless I started looking at the world like every second could be my last cause the doctors couldn't help me and I worried my heart would just give up at anytime to the point I had nightmares about it.. I went to him and after a few tests was diagnosed with automatic dysfunction... after listening to his advice upping my intake of salts and fluids and other simple life style changes It's like a second lease on life.. he does like short simple answers and to avoid excessive conversation that doesn't matter to the situation at the time and as an autistic I tend to have a mouth that doesn't stop but he is able to communicate his need for me to silence the useless jabber without me feeling put off in any way shape or form....

Saved my Life
I’ve been seeing Rosales for years. I have a TBI and struggle with communication; Dr. Rosales has always been patient in helping me understand the next steps we decide for my cardiac treatment. Due to my medical complexity, I have a large team of medical providers. Dr. Rosales has communicated with my other providers on multiple occasions, his expertise has been received with confidence. I have worked with cardiologist, for 20 years and been medically gaslighted by all. Dr. Rosales expertise has been instrumental in my healing journey. I believes in the body’s ability to heal itself if we give it the tools. I listened to all the tools Dr. Rosales provided and I am no longer in a wheelchair. Thank you Dr. Rosales for saving my life!

A caring and knowledgeable doctor!!
Dr. Rosales is a GREAT Doctor IMHO who will talk with you not at you about your condition. He treats his patients with care and respect and will make sure your treatment plan is correct. Understanding of Job demands in Alaska i.e. oilfield and will if possible make appointments available by your schedule, sometimes in very short notice.I have 0 complaints about Dr. Rosales and his office, I can not say this about 99% of other doctors in my 54 years of life especially when dealing with something as critical as your heart to life.

Rude Staff and Rude Dr.
The staff at this office have poor bedside manner leading to many misunderstandings and Dr. Rosales himself is a poor communicator completely unproffessional.

Dr. Rosales is an outstanding cardiologist
I highly recommend him, especially to anyone with POTS . But really anyone. If you see him in the soldotna location the wait can be longer but I've never left without all of my questions and concerns addressed. So it's totally worth it! He has also made a lot of effort to advacate on my behalf to other doctors to make sure I'm getting the best treatment possibile. He has gone above and beyond in his care and treatment.

Dr. Rosales belittled me. I have never had a healthcare profesional treat me in such a negative way. I am also a health care professional and would never treat a patient the way Dr. Rosales treated me. There were errors in the dosage called to the pharmacy. He and his PA would give completely different answers to my question. He would not allow me to finish my answers to his questions.

This Dr repeatedly refused to provide medical notes, then provided documentation that conflicted previous assessments, then lied in the notes and said we declined his reccomended treatment. He is condescending and rude and highly unprofessional. I would never reccomended him to anyone.

I would highly recommend Dr. Rosales due to the fact that he diagnosed and treated and does still treat my pots. He also diagnosed me With two other conditions the other doctors have not ever explained or asked about with two other conditions the other doctors have not ever explained or asked about. other heart doctors told me to drink more water and salt and never explained everything I had nor did they even really do an Actual physical exam on me like dr rosales did. He’s very down to earth and very knowledgeable about pots, hyper mobility syndrome and Dysautonomia syndrome. Have no problem getting a appointments no wait the doctor actually pulled me back and spend a lot of time with me explaining. Highly recommend!!!!!??????

***DO NOT GO HERE FOR MEDICAL CARE*** Borealis Heart Alaska Dr. Alvaro Roasles MD I am a OEF/OIF combat veteran. I am not one to write review's like this but I believe it is warranted in this case and everyone needs to know exactly what kind of man they are dealing with when they see Mr. Rosales. I'm not even going to give him the the title of doctor because he doesn't deserve that. This guy is a piece of work. I am dealing with a life threatening and very serious, complex medical condition. Due to his inability to work with providers, he refuses and has failed to provide pertinent health information within the process of my care. It has been requested verbally and in writing multiple times as well as from doctors ouside this state. There has been extreme negligence and his failure to follow state and federal protocol has lead to a worsening in my condition and a delay in care. I was promised 2 to 3 second opinions on a highly abnormal EEG study the first week of December,... the fol
