I saw Dr. Chu. Both she and her intern were nice enough, but unsuccessful in helping me. I went because I have some sort of autoimmune disease that is hard to diagnose. A rheumatologist at CPMC who I've seen several times thinks it might be Behcets but unsure. I was hoping these leading experts would be able to figure it out more clearly or come up with some treatment ideas even if we don't know what is happening. But no. They couldn't come up with any diagnosis and they shot down all treatment ideas I had. If you're seeing Stanford Rheumatology for a bad case of MS or Chrohn's or RA or something, they may be helpful. I suspect they have access to many clinical trials and new drugs. But if other doctors can't figure out your symptoms, then based on my experience, you are wasting your time seeing these doctors. They will shrug and send you on your way with no ideas and no hope.
