Dr. Alyson Melin, DO

Dr. Melin was wonderful. I had so many complications with my procedure and she stood by my side the entire time , no matter what time at night or day even if she wasn't scheduled to be working. I remember having extreme difficulties and going to the ER, several times and she was there before me. Very grateful for Dr. Melin , I don't think I would be alive if it wasn't for her. She definitely gets my vote for the absolute best surgeon on the planet and I stand ten toes down on that . I owe her my life . Thank you, I feel like dancing!!!

Dr. Melin did a phenomenal job on my breast reconstruction after my double mastectomy. She was so easy to work with and very professional and kind. She listened to my ideas and hopes and met me with her honest opinions and professional experience. I couldn’t be happier.

I had a terrible experience with another plastic surgeon for breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy and was left a mess. Dr. Melin was caring, compassionate, and kind. I am so very thankful I found her. She took a lot of time with me to explain my options and I never once felt rushed. She did an amazing job cleaning up my complicated situation and I trust her 100%. Her sutures were impeccable and I healed so nicely due to her amazing skill. She truly is very skilled and so kind which was invaluable to me after my very traumatic experience with a surgeon who was the complete opposite. I am so thankful for Dr. Melin. She healed me physically and emotionally. I highly recommend her.

Dr Melin has been my plastic surgeon through my breast cancer treatment for the past 10 months. She not only has done a wonderful job making me comfortable with the devastating changes to my body but she has also been there for me emotionally through this journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone especially us Pink sisters. I look forward to every appointment with her because I know my questions and concerns will be answered with compassion and in detail.

I have had a great experience with Dr Melin so far. She made me feel very comfortable. I had breast cancer and from chemotherapy and radiation my one breast was a very different size. I also felt I needed a breast reduction. She helped me work through it. It’s only a couple weeks since I had the surgery but I think I am healing nicely. She had been very caring through my whole experience. I would recommend her . I am already feeling better about my body image.

After reading the glowing reviews of Dr. Melin on St. Luke's Plastic and Reconstruction page on Facebook page, I am amazed at what I read. I find it hard to believe they're real patient reviews. I found her to be a bully with no bedside manner. After she performed a disastrous reconstruction surgery on my breast, it was very hard, painful and sunken in. Dr. Melin did a procedure completely different than what we had discussed prior to surgery. At the follow-up appointment she kept telling me to wait a year and she would tweak the procedure. I waited that one year and there was no difference whatsoever. She refused to do what I asked and said it was unlikely I would find a surgeon who would. She actually yelled at me. Well I found that surgeon, Dr. Marshall Miles, and he is extremely skilled and personable. I am finally happy with the results of surgery and highly recommend him. Don't waste your time with Dr. Melin. You'll only be sorry.
