New doctor with little knowledge
I went to see Alyssa Anciro because my doctor moved out of the state. My original doctor had me on 5mg Diazepam twice a day for severe PTSD and social anxiety. Dr. Anchor decided she “doesn’t like” people being on diazepam. So refused to refill me. I was on diazepam for three years. It’s the only thing that allowed me to leave my home. Work. Take care of the kids. She took me off cold turkey to where I had to go through DT’s for days. Now my anxiety is out of control again to where I haven’t been able to leave the house. I cry every day. I am a mess. I don’t believe her opinion on what a person should be on should matter, if the patient has tried dozens of other medications that have not worked in the past. I’ve been alive longer than she has been a doctor, and I know my body better than anybody. All Dr. A did for me was keep me home bound and take away the only thing that he’s helped me in over 35 years of trying to find the right thing for me.
