Dr. Amanda Alleyn, MD

WARNING: If you have endometriosis or suspected endometriosis you would be better off finding a specialist who has the experience and skills required to best treat the condition- ESPECIALLY if you suspect it could be severe! Dr. Amanda Alleyn, and nurse Taylor Breaux, are very confident in their abilities to treat endometriosis but lack the necessary knowledge and skills to treat it. This may partially be due to the fact that most gynecologists do not receive the proper training or education on this condition. However, Dr Alleyn should be more transparent about these limitations before operating on patients! They also don’t have the greatest bedside manner because, in my case, they both appeared to be in a hurry and did not take the time to listen fully or answer all of my questions in a most caring manner. I did not feel like there was any compassion during our interactions. I was also very disappointed when they strongly pushed a drug that studies have shown can help with pain but also can cause severe bone loss and does absolutely nothing to slow the growth.

Dr. Alleyn was my obgyn through two losses and the birth of my daughter. I feel so lucky to have had her by my side as a compassionate care provider during all of that. She is to the point but not in a way that brushes over or leaves out information. She was always ready for my litany of questions and able to explain things in a way that was helpful to me, so that I could understand it.

She is very kind, understanding, and sympathetic when needed—she also has the best sense of humor when needed. Of all my healthcare professionals, I’m most comfortable with Dr. Alleyn. :)

Dr. Alleyn feels as genuine as they come. I have never been some comfortable with any doctor, much less my OBGYN. Her staff is absolutely amazing as well.

She is absolutely amazing. She is not my obgyn but she delivered my baby and she saved our lives. She is absolutely amazing and she has awesome bed side manners as well!!! Definitely recommend her!!

I love Dr. Alleyn. Me and my husband had her as our OBGYN for our first son and even tho things didn’t turn out the way we expected it too. Dr. Alleyn was always there for us. Now with our second child Dr. Alleyn is with us every step of the way. I feel like she is part of my family. I love her and her nurses. I couldn’t image going Thur another pregnancy with out her as my obgyn. I know she has the best heart and the best intention for me and my son. I recommend her to everyone she is the best.

She's not only a very good doctor, she is very empathetic and cares about her patients. She takes time to get to know you. The office staff is fantastic also.
