Dr. Amanda Rostkowski, MD

I had extensive gynecologic surgery for incontinence performed by Dr Rostowski with a great outcome. She has a great manner, very kind, explained everything prior to surgery, made sure my hospital stay went well for some particular concerns I had and has followed me closely post surgery. She was easy to reach, seeing me in the office or by tele-visit. Everyone in the practice is great too, friendly, responsive, kind. I saw two other surgeons before deciding that Dr R would be my surgeon. The other surgeons recommended a more complex surgery that I did not need. I highly recommend Dr Rostowski - she has changed my life.

You won't find a better GYN than Dr. Rostkowski in Connecticut! I recently had a partial hysterectomy, and Dr. R and her office staff were great at answering all of my questions pre-operatively as well as helping calm my anxiety around the surgery. I had 1000% trust and confidence in her as my surgeon, and my recovery so far has been fantastic! Do not wait to make an appointment with her if you're looking for a new gynecologist or OB!

I really appreciate the way Dr. Rostkowski makes you feel that you are the only patient she has for the day. Dr. Rostkowski is perky and I love that about her. I wish it could rub off on me. LOL PS office staff are awesome.

Dr. Rostkowski makes visits fast and....dare I say... enjoyable?! She helps me understand anything I have concerns about and should hold the world record for fastest, least painful exam. She's always on the lookout for potential problems as well and has gotten test results back to me very quickly. It's also nice to see that the staff actually like to work here. All around a great doctor/practice.

i had my hysterectomy with Dr. Rostkowski and hands down it was the best medical care i have ever received. she was so very informative and had quite possibly the best bedside manner i’ve ever encountered! she and her team are very knowledgeable, and explain everything in very easy to understand ways. they are quick to communicate and right there to help with any concerns you may have. i wish everyone in the world who needed this procedure or a gynecologist could go see her! i could not have been happier with my care not to mention, this is a very safe space for LGBT+ patients! as a trans man, going forward with this procedure was very intimidating, to be in a gynecological space. i was made to feel nothing but safe and welcome there definitely consider this doctor for your gynecological needs!

Dr. Rostkowski is an incredibly validating physician. She was able to make me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit as it was my first. She explained the entire process and gave me full bodily autonomy. I was able to only do what I was comfortable with during the visit. As a transgender patient, this is incredibly important, and I highly commend her for having such empathy and understanding of dysphoria surround gynecological appt. - can't recommend her enough!

Dr. Rostkowski is the best!! She took time to really listen and get to know me, and she made me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone in the office was so friendly and warm. Even the stickers on her computer were inclusive and had positive messages. Going to the gynecologist isn’t generally a ton of fun, but she made it a pleasant experience!

2 stars, 2 because she’s great at what she does however has told my loved one who has seen them in the past that they couldn’t have the problems they’ve been having, and after getting second opinions after Dr. R said there was no way, Dr. R was ABSOLUTELY wrong. It’s okay to be comfortable with your practicing but there are rare occurrences that HAPPEN, and ANY DOCTOR should be able to remain CURIOUS and ALWAYS do further testings, especially when the patient still doesn’t feel right. THOROUGH TESTING SHOULD ALWAYS BE GIVEN.

I have been a patient of Dr Gillette for over 35 years and in view of her well deserved retirement I had the pleasure of choosing Dr Amanda Rostkowski as my new Gynecologist..I met her yesterday for the first time after having 2 tele health conversations..She is a wonderful and caring dr.. She made me feel like I’ve know her forever..She is knowledgeable, friendly and witty..I found a gem..

Dr. Rostkowski is hands-down one of the best doctors I have ever had. Not only is she knowledgeable and friendly, but she is always quick to respond and is always willing to listen to concerns. She encourages patients to advocate for their care and have a say in their treatment. (And I credit her with saving my life once. Just saying.) She's amazing and I highly recommend her!

Friendly greeting from receptionist, minimal wait time, adhered to prescribed social distancing practices. Medical assistant was cordial and knowledgeable. Amanda(Dr.R.) was on time, thorough and as always up to date and informed about all my queries!
