Dr. Amanda Schwer, MD

Dr. Schwer simply saved my life. Not only is she extremely kind and gentle, she is extremely intelligent and capable of thinking through all possible diagnosis even if they are very rare. Multiple other doctors affiliated with Hoag assumed that my brain tumor was a benign scwannoma or atypical meningioma and recommended cyberknife radiation. Upon further Imaging Dr. Schwer became suspicious that the tumor looked more like a potential Chondrosarcoma, which is very rare for this location. She sent me to UCSD for a consultation where it was ultimately decided for surgical resection, when pathology came back it turned out that Dr. Shcwer was correct and it was a Grade II Chondrosarcoma. I applaud her ability to diagnose something so uncommon and to know when the treatment she provides was not the correct treatment for the issue. Thank you Dr. Shwer from the bottom of my heart.

Has early prostate cancer metastasis after ct pet scan diagnosis. Dr Schwer did a cyber knife procedure back in early 2020 and has been undectable since Oct 2022. Pretty incredible !
