My first visit with doctor
He is arrogant, sitting behind a desk, no welcoming me to his office, not exam room! stir at computer screen, shows no compassion, very lil eye contact, his eyes on his computer screen, 5 minutes visit , I felt he wanted to get rid of me fast! On my chart, he dictated that he examined me head to toe! He did not move from his big desk to do any assessment!

Would NOT Recommended
After an Upper & Lower GI and a hand full of visits, I am looking for a new Gastro Dr because it was very apparent that Dr Dodda does not review the patients history-file prior to each visit. He asked if I have had the exact procedure that he had performed on my less than a month prior. He is also very rushed and does not give adequate time for each visit.

Don't visit if you actually want your test results
Awful experience. DO NOT go to Dr. Dodda if you actually want your test results. The first visit was ok, pretty rushed but he seemed knowledgeable. I then had two procedures done and prior to being under anesthesia I had questions (which I asked first, not wanting to be sleepy afterwards) and he acted annoyed that I was even asking. Then I waited for my results. It is now a month and a half after the tests and I still DO NOT have any results because he has canceled and changed my appointment THREE TIMES. First time, he decided to go on vacation, second was supposedly due to the hospital changing his schedule, and he did not want to stay later (per staff.) This last time was similar, had the appointment but he decided he did not want to stay late that day (per staff.) Totally unprofessional and awful practice for someone supposed to be helping people.

He spent 4.23 minutes in the room with the patient because I timed it. Just ordered lab work and sent patient out. The office staff is no better. They need to answer phone calls quicker, return phone calls quicker. Still waiting for lab work to be reviewed, emailed, or even discussed and it has been 21 days. I have called and get the same answer whenever they answer. I would not recommend this doctor at all. If my insurance would accept my old team back in network I would leave this doctor ASAP. He has not even filled an RX for me yet. I got my old doctor to send in RX for a few months.

If you want a Colonoscopy you need to find a different Doctor. Think about additional out of pocket expenses purchasing 3 over the counter meds and wasting the day before drinking a gallon of chemical and sitting the toilet then wasting another day at the hospital wasting all those employees time to have an Anesthesiologist put you under with 2 other specialists and the Doctor Dodda says afterwards I only went 20% in because I was afraid I might puncture your intestine. Then ask you to get a Ct scan and a follow up before asking you to do it again! Never again! Oh wait he said I had diverticulitis and hemorrhoids. This was disclosed in his office before getting scheduled as I had found that out on a prior one. So could he do it after a Ct? What’s the difference and maybe he should churn Medicare and insurance companies a little more so he could the same thing he was already payed for! Just be aware!

Dr. Dodda was very professional and did not waste any time scheduling me for the procedures he felt were crucial for me according to my ER report. I was very satisfied with his services and the genuine care and concern displayed by his staff.
