As a first time mom, Dr. Chamkur has been a Awesome physician every step of the way. From 2 weeks old to 1 year's old each of our visits have been pleasant. He's very high spirited and compliments my skills as mother when it comes to my our child's food choices and he's an advocate for breastfeeding, which I've done the entire time. My husband comes to every visit and feels very comfortable about the care our daughter is receiving from him and his staff and actively asks questions from time to time. Overall 5 Stars across the board, you can tell he really cares for his patients!

Please take your time to read this if you are pregnant or a postpartum mom or if this is your first baby. I never had an issue at the office until Dr. Amarnath Chamkur took care of my 2-month baby last Monday, I'm a first-time mother and I obviously have questions regarding my daughter's health and want to make sure she's doing good. the visit was nothing about my baby but my mother, she has been coming with me for the last 3 appointments because she specifically asked me to let her be part of the doctor's visits since she is a trained nurse in the pediatric area. Dr. Chamkur he is a great pediatrician, but he does not have work ethic. he told me that I should be taking care of my own daughter and let my mother live her own life instead of making her come to the appointments with me. He also asked me if I had a Nasal aspirator for my baby and I told him that I've ordered 3 new ones because my dog ate the one I had for my baby, so I got replacements. he said that I should be making a decision and pick between keeping my dog or my baby and they are both part of my family so I told him that there is no need for me to choose when is regarding something material that can easily be replaced. He proceeded to hold my baby in his arms, and he told her that I love a dog more than her and that I chose a dog over her and that she should be living with my mother instead of me because she will be better at taking care of her. I'm not getting rid of my dog for something that costs 2 dollars. I also asked him why the next appointment is 2 months away and he told me that I shouldn't be making those questions that I should be more worried about my mother's health because the baby is going to be fine (my mom is 20 years older than me, I'm 28 and we both go for walks, we take tons of vitamins and are healthy), he also said that my husband and I are both like kids because we are always worried about little things concerning the baby's health (we are first time parents of course we will be worried and have questions). he made me, my mother and my husband feel disrespected. my husband was not able to be at the appointment this time (he works really hard) and since it was a very important one (two months vaccines) I recorded the visit for him and I just don't think is appropriate for a "professional practitioner" to be telling a baby that she's not loved by her mother or to tell a postpartum mom that my baby will be better with somebody else just because my dog ate a material thing or that I need to be responsible of my own kid just because he has seen my mother three times coming with me for appointments when I quit my job to be with my little one full time and I'm 24/7 taking care of her since she was born as it should be. All the medical records that I have from his office state that my baby is doing great and that I'm her primary caregiver and that there are no concerns regarding my daughter or her health. My baby and I learn together every day while my husband works, we read books together, we do tummy time, tummy rubs, we play, we exercise, she's always clean and well fed and I'm grateful for my baby. That is only a small list of the comments he made during the visit. believe it or not giving birth can be difficult and it can affect the way you feel. he really can make a postpartum mother feel depressed and questioning herself about everything she does. think twice before going with him for your baby's mental health and your own. the nurses are great, and he is really good at his job and was very nice at the very beginning, but he should not be making those comments, he is a professional practitioner that should not be allowed, I honestly don't trust him with my baby anymore.
