An incredibly skilled and gifted surgeon
When pancreatic cancer touched our family, we instantly began learning via the internet. The PanCan network recommended finding a surgeon who performs at least 15 surgeries per year. Our search led us to Dr. Zureikat. He performs 110-120 procedures a year and he was more than 1,000 miles from our home. The distance didn't deter us. We believed our best chance at a successful outcome was traveling to the Hillman Cancer Center. Dr. Zureikat is, of course, brilliant and a highly skilled surgeon. But he's also compassionate, an engaged listener, and willing to teach. He is surrounded by a team of pancreatic cancer specialists who work collaboratively

In 2014 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Dr. Zureikat was confident from the start that he would be able to help me, and he certainly did! Here I am eight years later, able to enjoy my family fully and continuing to make memories. He is a gifted surgeon and because of his unique talents and calming, direct personality, I live a full and rich life. Thank you to Dr. Zureikat, all of his staff, and the Hillman Cancer Center. God bless you all!

Dr. Zureikat took over for another physician who did my Whipple procedure. I loved the other surgeon but I am on the fence about Dr. Zureikat. I have had on going medical problems and he is unwilling to listen to the point where his office staff makes me crazy. I was going to a different doctor for a 2nd opinion but ended up in another hospital with a separate problem. Once he got my reports he then decided to listen to me and referred me to another surgical oncologist to take care of my problem. I am doing much better but with this office you have to be your own advocate because he is unwilling to listen and my follow up has not been the greatest because he does not know much about my rare medical issue.

He took over my case from my previous surgeon who was wonderful. He told me there was nothing more he could do. I didn’t listen and got 2nd and 3rd opinions. Granted it was a difficult medical case but he is the only one that said nothing could be done and I am grateful I did not take his advice.
