Bad first impression
I had an x-ray of my spine that showed several levels of issues related to the facet joints, A-P alignment, and disc height reduction. One finding was arthrosis (kind of like fusion) of a sacroiliac joint. Her diagnosis and email response to me? ' you have arthritis in your back', period. Haven't met her in person, but she does not have my respect based on this. Obviously, not interested or concerned.

Dr. Rughani didn't exactly listen to all my concerns. She was always in a rush to go to the next patient and I overall felt neglected as a patient. I once had an urgent concern and her office did not respond to me until a week later. It was extremely frustrating trying to communicate with her when I needed it.

Dr. Rughani is extremely professional, patient, and knowledgeable. She takes the time to address all of my and my loved ones' needs and speaks in a gentle and calming manner. She is, by far, the best doctor at Kaiser Permanente. When explaining my potential treatment options, she is very clear and gives me all the essential information so I can make a well informed decision.
