Untimely and unacceptable
So irritated. I had a problem come up in mid August. My PCP gave me a referral to this doctor. I called and it was weeks before I could be seen, no matter the location. Prior to my visit, I was told I could get an email to complete pre-registration paperwork as a new patient. I never got that. When I checked in I advised I got no such email. The receptionist checked, and informed I was correct, the email never went out. I showed up early to my appointment time to complete the paperwork. Keep in mind, in this paperwork was a little sheet of a kind of contract between provider and patient, that states as a patient I will be on time for my appointments, call and cancel with 24 hrs notice if I can't make it, etc. I was not put in a patient room until 20 minutes after my appointment time. I still had not been seen by a Doctor a full hour after my appointment time!! I walked out. Told them not to bill my Insurance. Unacceptable. My time is valuable too!!!

Excellent care
Went in for a Colonoscopy and Dr Damadi found a mass, scheduled surgery to have it removed, it turned out to be precancerous. Had surgery done at Providence Novi and received excellent care from Dr and staff.

Bedside manner poor, lack of medical information!
First colonoscopy with Dr. Damadi last October. Previously with Dr. Pearlman, that retired. As I was coming out of my medication, Dr. Pearlman was one who would sit down for a few minutes and explain what you needed to know. Dr. Damadi came in & notified me that I had hemorrhoids & diverticulosis. I could not get any reply or ask any questions. He left quickly and I felt stunned that he left so abruptly. Had I been able to speak to him, I would have told him my personal issues with hemorrhoids that arose from giving birth to my two sons. I would have asked him questions on diverticulosis, instead nothing. When you go to a dermatologist, you come away with many brochures on skin issues. With problems of the bowels and this doctor, I came away with nothing other than to add fiber to my diet from the nurse. No real explanation on how diverticulosis forms. I made the suggestion that he use a dry erase board to inform patients of their condition to further saving his time!

Run away! Terrible outcome and hiding mistakes
Horrible colon surgery outcome. Sliced into the bladder and lied about it. 16 days in the hospital for a colon resection. Otherwise healthy patient. Look around for a better surgeon

Amazing Doctor
Very through, thoughtful and compassionate. Diagnosed my constipation issues as a lazy colon and then performed surgery for it. He was honest and didn't sugar coat anything. I feel better now that I have in years. His office staff couldn't be nicer. He is very busy and at times I had to wait along time to see him in his office but well worth it.

I never leave reviews but Dr. Damadi was very rude and disrespectful and I’ve never been this uncomfortable at a Dr’s office ever! Talks down to his patients and does not listen or care! Very disappointed.

Doctors rave about how good my stoma looks, so he must have done a good job. He was horrible in breaking the news to me that I would need an ostomy bag. He blew off questions about living with a bag as though it was only his job to make me need one, but not his job to explain that there are other people and who could help me with living with it. He always referred to me as "honey" or "sweetheart". I doubt he speaks to his male patients in such a condescending way. Post surgery, he disregarded my pain being off-the-charts as my being melodramatic. When I had a relapse and said I'd rather die than endure surgery again, he said, "Well, honey, I'd rather die than have to operate on you again because it wasted six hours of my life working on you. It wasn't a walk in a park for me, either, sweetheart," comparing my months of suffering to his day at work. I guess he's a good surgeon, but he is arrogant, has zero compassion and horrible bedside manner.

Dr. Damadi is TRULY a gifted surgeon! I've suffered diverticulosis for over 10 yrs. I put off surgery in fear of ending up with a colostomy bag. My sister began to suffer the same affliction, and she had Dr. Damadi perform a colon resection. It was a success!! She keep trying to steer me his way, until one day I went to one of her appts. And met him myself. I was SOLD!!! Dr. Damadi is so personable and genuinely caring! I then knew that he was the surgeon for me! My surgery was a great success!

I cannot begin to write a review about Dr. Damadi without tearing up. He saved my life and restored the quality back into my life. He is caring, humble beyond belief and as was written in another review, is a wonderfu, wonderful, wonderful surgeon. I was confident and certain from the initial consultation that he would be performing my surgery. He LISTENS to his patient and REMEMBERS what you tell him. He never seems hurried to get to his appointment and he never looks at his watch.

Although Damadi was able to diagnose my medical condition, he was unable to identify the unique dynamics of my medical scenario, and tried to corner me into surgery that has very little chance of succeeding, and would alter my life considerably. I explained why surgery was not an option, and while he said he could understand, he said he was liable if I continued the care with him as recommended by my original surgeon in Florida. My doctor will care about patient's care more than fear of liable
