On JUNE 13, 2016, GOD WORKED THROUGH MY TRAUMA ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON , DR. AMIR JAHANGIR, FROM VANDERBILT TO LITERALLY SAVE MY LEFT ARM AFTER ME BEING IN A /GUN/DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SITUATION. I was a Mail Carrier for 18 years when my tragedy happened, and I am STILL a Mail Carrier today: Going on 23 years and counting. I still have ABSOLUTELY NO NERVE DAMAGE!! I WILL NEVER FORGET!! I thank God for Dr. Jahangir every day. HE is truly the BEST OF THE BEST!! Even my family loved him because he took time out, never rushing, to explain everything to them. I REMAIN FOREVER GRATEFUL ?

In 2015 I was flung by my 85 pound dog when he ran down the stairs and the flex lead reached its end. I flew from a second story outdoor landing, landed on concrete, and broke my pelvis in several places and had internal bleeding from my bladder. The local hospital was unable to tend to my injuries and transferred me to Vanderbilt where Dr Jahangar performed surgery and saved my life. I am now 70 years old and work for a chiropractor who told me that he did an excellent job of putting me back together. I have no post operative pain or any symptoms of ever having any problems. I thank God that he was the doctor on call when the ambulance took me to the hospital. I would recommend him for any orthopaedic surgery that anyone is looking at having to go forward with. I found him to be extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, and with experience necessary for traumatic situations. If you are fortunate enough to have him as your doctor you are in good hands.

Dr. Jahagir operated on my 34 year old son and during the surgery my son suffered massive mini strokes leaving him paralyzed, non vernal confined to a nursing home. My husband and I waited until 10 o'clock at night to meet with Dr. Jahagir. Not only did he not meet with us that night we never saw him for the several weeks my son was at Vanderbilt. He knew what had happened during that surgery and is to big a coward to have told us what happened. I hope no one else ever has to go thru this.

Dr. Jahangir is not only an exceptional surgeon, but is also an incredibly caring, compassionate, human being. It is difficult to express just how much I respect him and how grateful I am that he was my surgeon when I suffered a life-changing injury.
