Dr. Amir Rasheed, MD

I have been going to Dr Rasheed for a few years now. I like this Dr but his staff ethics are unbelievable to the point I’m considering going to see someone else. I have been trying to get my results for a month now . I have left messages in every way possible. I have never experienced this before. This is my life and it’s feeling like a joke. I have never left a review good or bad but I’m going to start so that others are aware.. The staff needs to do better and have more compassion. I’m in the medical field as well and every patient of mine is of importance to me.

Dr. Rasheed helped me & explained my condition to the fullest and most professional way. Will be seeing him soon. Found a portable vein blood clot from Sept and PCP is just now telling me in Dec. I miss being treated like a real person and not just a number. He's the best. I highly recommend that you make an appointment with him if need be.

Same problem with insurance claims as previously noted by a past patient review. Terrible office staff when it comes to billing. Very inconsistent and IMHO...greedy. Was being treated by Dr. Rasheed for Erythrocytosis on a monthly basis since 4/23. His copay varies widely with absolutely no logical explanation from his staff. Phlebotomy treatment copays were suppose to be 20, confirmed by my insurance. One time it was 180, twice at 160 and other times at 40. His Patient Web Portal lacks billing history, up-to-date test results, etc. Very unprofessional. Currently seeking another Hematologist.

Let me start from the fact that Houston is considered the best nationwide for medical treatments. Therefore I was surprised to discover that Hematologists are also "limited species" here (as well as everywhere else over the pond) as I struggled to find an appointment when I needed it in the past, until I found Dr.Rasheed. My first visit was in 2021 with severe iron deficiency. The Appointment was given 2 days after my call as my iron was below level. Very grateful for this! I don't mind sometimes waiting times - I know how hard it is to get an appointment to specialty doctors in America, especially when you are not an established patient but need a check-up. Dr.Rasheed is very attentive & explanatory on all my questions. The staff is friendly & polite, always return your calls same day. They do your blood works & iron infusions smooth & painless! I should mention that I'm scared of needles & my veins like to hide. Mr.Billy the main nurse is the superstar!

I was being spoken to as if i have diagnosis that are for someone else. I was going to take iron infusion while I don’t need it. They took 160 copay while my insurance confirmed it is only 50 for the visit and it is not subjected to ded or oop

I have never been happier with a doctor AND his entire staff. In my opinion, Dr. Rasheed is the best in his field! I will never run out of wonderful things to say about my experience, even though I was undergoing the scariest time of my life. He also has the best bedside manner, and has this calming way of putting you at ease. I am actually going to miss my weekly visits at his office. I love them all!

Dr Rasheed is the best doctor I've been seen by. Listens to patients concerns and has a very friendly staff. Love the environment.
