Dr. Gona is the best Dr. that I have ever seen for my arthritis , and my fibromyalgia. Very sad to read one of the comments about her looking very annoyed about what other Dr.’s had told this patient. Dr. Gona is a very caring, very experienced, and is always concerned about my health,& that’s not only my medical concerns that I go and see her for. She is always very interested in following my other medical condition but I have.. Dr.Gona goes on and above, taking her time with me, reviewing all of my tests / labs ,And carefully discussing them with me. Always making great suggestions of how I might feel better in my daily living.. A huge thank you to Dr. Gona,And her professionalism and being a wonderful Dr. for my rheumatology needs..

I agree with others about her poor patient interaction skills. She slouched in her chair taking notes on my history, firing question after question at me in a tone that made it clear she disapproved of everything any of my other doctors did. She got details wrong and was impatient/annoyed when I tried to give her the right information. I will say she was very gentle when ranging my joints, so that was good. Overall, she was dictatorial and rude. I asked to switch doctors. If they don’t let me I will move to a different practice.

Dr. Gona is thorough, VERY knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely cares about her patients. I've only seen one other Rheumatologist in my life, and I'll take Dr. Gona every single day & twice on Sunday over him. He, too, was extremely knowledgeable, but had not an ounce of compassion in him. I highly recommend Dr. Gona as both a diagnostician, and an educator.

Very hard to understand. We felt so stupid having to constantly saying, "Huh.....huh....huh.....?". Or that we don't understand you.

I agree with one of the other reviews about Dr. Gona being knowledgeable but her interactions with patients need improvement. I don't think your doctor needs to be your best friend but she definitely needs to work on how she talks to her patients. Snappy and comes off rude.

Saw her twice. Found a new rheumy. Not personable, not knowledgeable. pretty sure she quit studying immediately after getting here diploma. told me the medication prescribed by previous dr was magic potion, bc she hadn't heard about it. Told me to get off it and get on enbrel. Said if I wasn't willing to get on enbrel 2x a week, then she couldn't help me. New rheumy told me there was no need to get off it and just added 1x a wk enbrel. If I could give no stars I would!

while she is knowledgeable about RA, her interaction with patients needs improvement. first visit she goes into detail of all the side affects of the medication she will be prescribing and tells you how the medication will create osteoporosis and deformed fetus if you get pregnant.while that my sound responsible, she makes it clear she has to tell because of "liability". we left feeling very hopeless about my daughters condition.will be looking for another provider who can be more positive
