Dr. Aqeel is a literal angel disguised as a DR
I was admitted to Mercy for extremely elevated liver enzymes alt 2700 ast 700 due to otc pinworm meds I forgot I took! I was so sick, delusional, falling, my speech was slurred & I don’t remember much of the ambulance ride or the days prior being sick or being admitted. I do however remember Dr Aqeel bc of his beautiful nature, genuine compassion & concern.When he came to see me the day after I was admitted I told him how I’d been suffering from some kind of parasitic infection for 2 years and NOONE would listen to me or take me seriously.He spent at least 30 min reviewing my images, videos, microscope photos & took pictures & immediately got infectious disease involved. I couldn’t believe it. Finally someone BELIEVED ME. I was seen by in ID that day. I wish I wasn’t out of network bc I would do anything to keep seeing Dr aqeel and dr quadri with infectious disease.im currently on 800 mg of albendazole and still don’t know exactly what parasite this is but I owe everything to dr Aqeel!
