This doctor danced the whole time when asking questions about by mother. She had the MRI in front of her and I felt like she had no understanding of what was going on. Don't waste your time. Recommendation would be to find another doctor that understands the complexity of the brain and can articulate to you what is going on, how to treat and next steps.

Dr. Amy Amick is rude and uncaring. She has the bedside manner is cold and her diagnosis of my condition changed every time I saw her. I left more frightened and confused about my condition. I am in hospitals and with specialists all the time due to different medical conditions and whenever I mention her name, Dr., nurses, technicians frown and often say they would not refer anyone to her. Given how many complaints she has, why is she allowed to continue practicing?

I visited Dr. Amick on the recommendation of another Neurologist. I left her office after about 3 minutes. She was rude and disrespectful. She asked why we were looking for a new doctor. We told her dad's Neurologist at Beth Israel had said that we could alternate between the two for the ease of travel every 4 months. She said "that's a pain for me ". I would NEVER recommend her, I'm sure she is a well trained doctor but you cannot LEARN bedside manner.

I liked this doctor at first but she has said so many conflicting things to me I really don't know what to think now. Also have found her to seem remote and clinical as if I am a example in a textbook instead of a real person. I was really hoping this would be a supportive dr but there is no continuity in what she says from one visit to next. She leaves me confused and feeling much more scared and ill than i actually feel. I can't recommend this doctor at this point. She seems distracted.

Saw this doctor for over a year and really liked her. She was seemed kind and intelligent. But then as another poster said, she told me I could just stop one of my Meds cold turkey. That seemed strange to me because everything I had read online said otherwise. So I got a second opinion from a different neurologist and she said I could have been in dire straights if I had done that. So I have since switched doctors.

Poor bedside manner. Gave me incorrect information about a medication I was taking. Thank God for my pharmacist who I've known along time, otherwise I could have had seizures! Do not recommend.
