Skip Cosgrove - She's Awful
She was awful. Rude and condescending. She wouldn't listen and made numerous assumptions. I was so frustrated I was in tears - which she deemed depression. Not depression. Pure frustration with the worst doctor EVER!

Over 11 years DR Hale and Ledford were great DRs. She is rude!!!! assume, and don’t ask questions. It’s her way or no way. I feel bad for the medical assistants, I can only imagine what they go through under her.

Unprofessional Care
First visit went well, second visit I found doctor was forgetful, didn't call in prescriptions as stated she would, plus abnormal lab results were not reported to me, didn't listen to me, walked out on me during office visit. I did not feel respected! Staff was friendly except her nurse assistant.

Professional care
Dr Cosgrove is great and very professional. She hasn’t rushed me along but does know how to get to the root of the issue- diagnosing and treating effectively. She isn’t one to chat but I am looking for a doctor that knows her stuff and takes care of my medical needs - she does that well.

Worthless ethics
The staff and Cosgrove is arrogant, rude and irresponsible. They tried charging us $50.00 for a no call, no show after my wife broke her appointment two day prior. Showed up to next appointment 25 minutes early and had to wait a hour after her appointment to be seen without an apology. It's impossible to get a prescription re-written, the doc doesn't answer telephone calls during the day, she's special n can't be bothered I guess. So the refill has to wait till the end of the day. The doc would rather do telehealth appointments that way she can just hang up if there is an issue. In my opinion she doesn't need to practice medicine. Odds are my wife will not stay wit this company, l didn't like the way she looked so I changed docs right off the bat. Cause these people will not get my money cause they are worthless. I wish Dr Hale had never retired.

Horrible person!
She took over for Dr. James Hale's practice and this was my first visit with her. I was seeing Dr. Hale's FNP until he retired at the end of September 2023. She is very unprofessional. I overheard her on the phone with the local ER staff trying to speak with the 'ER doctor'. If she knew our area, she would know we have hospitalists, not ER doctors, and she would have spoken nicely to the nurses who answered the phone.I was placed on an anti-anxiety medication to help with my anxiety and depression this year. It helps when I need it sometimes. I told her I needed a refill on this medication and she told me that she does not prescribe 'Benzos' and that she could refer me to a psychiatrist. I see a psychologist and do not need a psychiatrist. I just need her, my PCP, to take care of my medical needs.

She is a blessing
Dr. Cosgrove has really been a blessing to me and my husband. She has helped us navigate specialists while caring for us every step of the way. She listens to our concerns and takes deliberate steps to find solutions to improve our health problems. Our previous doctor of the past 25+ years retired and we couldn’t be happier with Dr. Cosgrove now. We expect to be in her expert care for many years to come.

Knowledgeable Care
I have searched for a good doctor that doesn't waste my time or money and is able to manage my medical needs. Dr. Cosgrove is miles above the other doctors I have seen over the years. She knows what she is talking about and doesn't mince words. She communicates clearly and to the point which I appreciate. My medical needs are somewhat complicated but Dr. Cosgrove is more knowledgeable than most other primary care doctors I have ever seen...knowing when to refer and when it is manageable without a specialist. She even helped correct an error one of my specialists had made not realizing the myriad of health problems I am experiencing. I am glad we have her in Amarillo.

True partner in care - listens to you!
I had been going to a large university-based provider, but the doctors there change all the time. I also needed a doctor to really LISTEN to my concerns. Dr. Cosgrove did! She took the time to listen to me and understand my concerns and health goals. She really became my parter in my health care. I’m recommending her to everyone I know.

I came in with back pain and urinating blood. She sent me for an MRI, which I was scheduled same day. However, I was the one that had to call them and beg that they get me in because of the amount of pain I was in. She gave me a shot of Tordol and 600mg of ibuprofen, which gave some relief. All though very minimal I was in that much pain that anything would ease me a little. I was still in pain, probably 8 out of 10 and being modest. She explained that L-5 had been compressed and was pinching a nerve which was causing so much pain. I was referred to a neurosurgeon 4 weeks out!! I asked for something for pain. I had to ask because she was leaving without even offering anything. She said she didn't believe in pain meds stronger than ibuprofen 600mg and no reason for that not to suffice. I went to specialist after 4 weeks of pure misery. My specialist was at a loss for words. He immediately prescribed meds and scheduled surgery. If you have hurt yourself and in pain DO NOT GO TO THIS DR!!

Went to her for annual physical and had some concerns about my thyroid. Her physical consisted of, looking in my eyes, nose, ears and throat. No breast exam, i had no need for a pelvic or pap due to having a Hysterectomy years ago. She ran some blood work, for my thyroid, when it came back my glucose level was rather high, long story short, she said if i didn't get on pills for my "diabetes" we could not work as partners. Mainly her way or the highway. I am now looking for Dr.

Dr Cosgrove saw my son who had burns on his hand from touching a hot stove. She recommended ointment and dressings and left the room to write a prescription. She returned without the script and said she changed her mind. My son had to go to the burn center 1.5 hours away. He had a few blisters on his hand. She then refused the prescription she previously committed to. she wouldn't allow for him to go to the local hospital. If you need care, she will not provide it or offer alternatives.
