Horrible bedside manner
Dr. Richter is the most unprofessional, cold and jaded person I’ve ever dealt with in the medical field! She first started the appointment by asking me why they haven’t induced me yet. Clearly she didn’t read my chart because her practice doesn’t induce if you’ve had a previous c section. Then she starts rattling off every possible worst case scenario that could happen because I wasn’t getting a scheduled C-section done when she wanted me to. I told her I understood the risk and I’m prepared for them. Then as she is preforming a cervical exam on me, she says “are you prepared to hold a stillborn baby?”. I was in complete shock, I had never been so uncomfortable in my life. It was extremely unprofessional and made me have a complete panic attack at 41 weeks pregnant and walk out crying so hard I couldn’t see. This wasn’t healthy for me and especially not my baby. She needs to take a mandatory class on bedside manner because she’s absolutely cold hearted and ignorant!

So disappointed
I think it’s time for Dr. Richter to retire, possibly find another career. She seems so impatient now. Last appointment she was completely defensive over why she was running late and even said to me, “well we squeezed you in” meanwhile I never even said a word or complained! She has become extremely egotistical and when you disagree with her - oh boy watch out! Claws are out. Nor will she let you get one word in when trying to explain yourself. Terrible.

Very unprofessional. Did not tell me until the day of my apt that she wasn’t taking my insurance any more. I found Amy Richter to be on the cold side with very little empathy. Very disappointing. I was relieved that she wasn’t my doctor any more. I found a really terrific gyn through my primary, Priscilla Persaud who is also amazing.

I hold Dr Richter responsible for saving my life. She saw something wrong 10 years ago and pushed me, several times to see a surgeon.... Good thing b/c I did have cancer ...unbeknownst to me. Dr Richter was always kind, compassionate and thorough with me. i will always be grateful to her.

So grateful that Dr. Richter is affiliated with two great hospitals. Had a few scary experiences with another obgyn office and I had to make a change. I found Dr. Richters office the day before I got in to see her my first time. The front desk heard the urgency in my voice. Dr Richter was very understanding, and very thorough. I hope my experience on my next visit is consistent with my first appointment.

After several years at this practice, visiting this doctor, I felt I deserved much better care. I'm not a fan of how I was treated by this Doctor, the care was rushed and the treatment options I was given made my situation much worse and led to several medical problems. Dr was not concerned when I raised these issues with her, did not care or help at all. I feel I'm deserving of better care.

Dr. Richter should not be allowed to continue treating patients as an OBGYN. She has no bedside manner, misdiagnoses her patients (unfortunately, I had to learn by being one of her misdiagnosed patients not only once, but twice!!!) and doesn't listen to what her patients say. If you don't agree with her, she becomes very dismissive and arrogant. I'm shocked she still has patients to be honest.
