Infection
My gallbladder was removed by Dr. Stump. Prior to leaving the hospital I was still in severe pain she sent me home and said that it would get better overtime. After 2 weeks I was still in severe pain, I went to her for a follow-up, she was dismissive and sent me to the emergency room. I was admitted to the hospital again and found to have an infection where the gallbladder was removed and an injury to my liver. I was kept over night and given strong antibiotics. It took months for my liver to get back to normal. She never followed-up with me again. It was a nightmare. Stay away at all cost.

Rude
Went in for consult for hernia repair. Immediately judgmental. I wanted to get a hernia repaired that I have dealt with for over 11 years. Felt it was causing issues. She was cold and said that it was my other health issues that was causing discomfort. Asked what I did for a living. When I told her I was currently on medical leave she gave me a condensending look. Can't understand how a doctor would think there is not any discomfort from a hernia.

Such a Caring Surgeon
I came all the way from Bel air, md to get my gallbladder removed by Dr. Stump. She was very nice, knowledgeable and most of all KIND. Like a loving mother treats her child. She treated me like a patient should be and not just looking at you like your just a dollar. I recommend that if you have to have any type of surgery go to Dr. Stump. They kept my husband informed every step of the way. Julie from post-op was incredible. Thank you so much for taking care of me. Then to top it all off, I received a Thank you card signed by these two ladies. THE BEST EVER. May God continue to give you the strength to do what you love to do. Blessings The Johnson Family

It's been almost three months now after my cholecystectomy . In all these months I didn't to take even a single pain medication . I was referred to Dr. Stump by a friend who was very satisfied with her experience with Dr. Stump. I am so glad I listened to my friend and went to Dr. Stump. My gallbladder surgery and recovery was very smooth . I was able to walk by myself right after the surgery and within a few days I was able to resume all my regular activities. I was suggested not to lift anything heavy for few weeks which I followed religiously . Thank you Dr. Stump for being such and wonderful and competent surgeon. I will highly recommend her if you have any surgical needs falling under her specialty.

Felt comfortable from the first minute. I had an abscess in not the friendliest of places. Dr. Stump was extremely kind while explaining everything professionally. Couldn’t have had a better Dr to help me in my time in need.

I went to ER with pains in my lower right side of my stomach. It was determined my appendix needed to come out. Dr. stump came in and went over my surgery. That was yesterday and I feel pretty amazing today. I haven't had the need for pain meds today. I give Dr, Stump two thumbs up.

I can tell she was a little rushed but she took the time to exam my concern however when she said she was going to refer me to a specialist she kept stressing the fact that they only take good insurance as if I didn’t. Her demeanor changed once she realized I was an RN with UMMC and my insurance is thru the same hospital that she’s affiliated with. I thought the focus should be on the care of the patient not whether or not they have “good” insurance.
