Saved my Colon
I saw Dr. Kumar for a 3rd opinion due to a large colon mass. The 1st 2 doctors wanted to remove more than a foot of my colon despite the fact that my pathology report and labs was negative.I did some research on my own and learned of a procedure called the ESD. The 2nd surgeon told me I was not a candidate for that procedure but never said why. I saw doctor Kumar, He told me I was the perfect candidate for that procedure. He explained It is a longer procedure and requires extreme precision. That is why doctors don't perform, simply because they don't have the skills. Doctor Kumar told me initially I would have to wait until Aug because his calendar was full. But after seeing my level of anxiety behind this he made room on his calendar and fit me in for the following week! 3 weeks later & I am perfectly fine! It was a same day procedure, I have No CANCER & retained my entire Colon! Thank you Dr. Kumar for your compassion & your skills. You saved my colon!!

Seen the Dr. for A pancreatitis issue. Saw him by viedo and he did not do or say much. He stated he went over my medical records for 20 years and that my lipase levels are not that high even though they been as high as almost 600 at one point, and in and out of hospitals. The he said he was going to order tests like lab work and MRI (MRCP), then he said no lab work, gave no reason why just said no. Then I look at his notes and he put that my pain and my hospital stays as well as elevated lipase level is caused from my anxiety which I have general anxiety. I am appalled that any Dr. of this specialty can say such a thing after one visit by viedo and not even that after seeing my records, how in the world can a lipase level be high from anxiety. This is disgusting, do yourself a favor if you have stomach issues, or pancreatitis issues, stay clear from these idiots at Jefferson, they are very unprofessional and not even that they could not even have the respect to schedule the MRCP

Dr Kumar was incredibly thorough, and explained my procedures to me, in detail, allowing me to ask any and all questions. He insured that I was both comfortable and confident in the specifics of the procedure that was being performed. He is empathetic, and when it was necessary to move to a different specialist he connected me to that doctor, and stayed involved in the outcome. I could not have received better care, and am incredibly grateful to have been pointed in the direction of Dr. Kumar. If I could give a 10 star rating, I absolutely would. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar.

My husband had a colonoscopy with Doctor Kumar and after the procedure he took the time (as long as we needed) to explain everything to us. We never felt rushed and he explained everything we asked. We had never met him before this time and we would highly recommend him. We were impressed.
