Great doctor poor office
Dr. Petersen is great, listens well, very knowledgable and works with you. I am staying with him for that reason. Office experience: for the past 2 years, every time I have dealt with them, it has been very difficult. Here are a couple examples. We moved to the area and I was symptomatic with heart issues. Since I was a new patient it took 6-8 weeks to get in with him. He said we need to get you in with a cardiologist on an ASAP referral. Four months later I still hadn't heard from anyone. After calling both offices with literally 6 phone calls they were unable to communicate between their fax machines or emails. Finally, I gave up and found my own cardiologist. Another example, my son visited Dr. Petersen and he elected to do basic blood work. The next thing we know we have a large envelope in our mailbox from an oncology office. Our whole family was scarred to death! No call from the doctor or nurses to say there was anything out of range in the labs. Still haven't heard from them.

Pam was who checked me in today. She was VERY unfriendly. She made me feel like she hated her job. As a new patient, I did not feel welcome at all. After filling out the required paperwork, I dreaded going behind the locked door to the next set of people I would meet. My name was called exactly 24 minutes after my appointment time. Upon going in to exam area, EVERYONE was very friendly. Dr Petersen is a great Dr. He made me feel wanted and appreciated. He took all the time I needed to review my prescriptions and any questions or concerns I had. I look forward to seeing him again. I would highly recommend Dr Petersen. Just don’t let the front staff scare you away. He is worth the little inconvenience

I absolutely love my Dr!! Every time I have a doctors visit with Dr. Peterson he is so personable and he sits down and actually takes time to talk with you and doesn’t treat you like a number! He has the best chair side manner and it’s so likable and listens when you ask him questions and doesn’t just spout off information that you don’t understand

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Petersen?
I think I waited longer than normal because he was dealing with a VERY difficult/stressful patient in the room next me (I could hear everything.) Once he was able to see me he did not bring his emotions from the last patient into my exam room. It was our first meeting and he took his time asking all sorts of needed questions and I never once felt rushed. He also apologized for anything I may have overheard from the other patient prior to his visit.

Dr Petersen is an excellent Dr! He takes the time to listen & answer questions. I never feel hurried like I'm just a number. I am a very difficult case but he is very knowledgeable in those areas. He isn't a pill pusher & he gets the tests needed quickly. I would recommend Dr Petersen to everyone. You will be very happy!
