Beware! There are much better doctors
I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Andrea Nomberg. I was there for a referral, but she won’t provide one unless you come in so she can bill you. Her office insisted I step on a scale in the middle of the practice, fully clothed with shoes on. Knowing it wouldn’t be accurate, I provided a time-stamped, dated cell phone video of my weight from the same day. She refused to accept it, gave me an attitude, and later dropped me as a patient for not using her scale. She didn’t perform a basic exam—no heart or lung check—despite being my primary care doctor. The practice now relies on a student doctor who gathers information and relays it to her while speaking as if the patient isn’t present. It’s all about the money with this practice, not your health—beware. The office staff and student doctor were professional, but my experience with Dr. Nomberg was negative. Thankfully, I’ve found a better doctor who listens to the patient and values their input.

Modern Old Time Doctor
My wife DZ has been seeing Dr. Nomberg for over 10 years. She is an extraordinary physician who is caring, diligent, knowledgeable and kind. Her new office on Hawkins is better than her old office. Call her on any given day with a problem and she will see you immediately if needed. We are old enough to remember Dr. Yamaguchi who had a practice on Hawkins in Lake Grove 50 years ago. Dr. Y was the last of the old-time doctors who kept his doors open to past midnight for his patients. No one does that anymore but Dr. Nomberg comes close and has the same work ethic. We cannot recommend her enough!

Both my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Andrea Nomberg for years now and would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care physician. She communicates well and gives you the opportunity to speak and ask questions. Definitely no complaints here!

I want to preface this by saying I saw Dr. Nomberg for about 7 years or so with pretty much zero complaints. She even helped me deal with my Grave's disease because I felt the endocrinologist was wasting my time and money. That being said, the last few visits were terrible enough to make me find another general practitioner. I won't get into all my issues but the last time I went for a yearly physical and had a question for her regarding a health issue and she told me "I can help you but just so you know now I will have to charge you a co-pay" (I don't pay co-pays on annual physicals). That was pretty much the last straw. I have found a different, wonderful PCP who will listen to me whether or she's charging a copay or not.

I've been a patient of Dr. Nomberg for close to 20 years. She is wonderful... the level of care and attention is unmatched. She takes the time to get to know her patients and will answer all questions and address all concerns. It is a personal experience and you can tell she cares about all her patients.

My wife had a thyroid issue and the doctor pulled up Google in her office because she had never heard of the issue... I had a sonogram I was worried about and instead of any sort of explanation on the report from Zwanger she just read a sentence from it. No explanation of the medical jargon. When I inquired about one part of it she claimed they didn't check, so I read it back to her where they had. I received an attitude. No help whatsoever. Also horrendous unprofessional receptionist

Been going to her for 1o years. she still would not know me or my family if she saw us on the street. she does not read your chart before she sees you or know anything about my condtions after 10 years, they do not like to give any meds. no cough meds. no sleep meds. but love to give high blood pressure to my whole family. when we went to a new doctor he was shocked how we were treated. And could not get copies of my records/ you can wait hours its all about the money here. beware

I didn't particularly enjoy the care I received through Dr. Nomberg. She doesn't make a great effort to explain reasons for her decisions and makes it very difficult to receive any type of advise whatsoever outside of the exam room. Also apparently doesn't document enough. She called to inform me of allergy results and asked ME why I was tested for them. Sent me for a pointless Xray when it should have been a CT scan for another issue.
