Dr. Andrea Schwoerer, MD

Dr. Schwoerer takes her time to answer questions and provide education. She obviously loves what she does and cares for her patients. I would recommend Dr. Schwoerer to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Schwoerer is one of a kind! She listened and answered all of my questions without rushing me. She is also an excellent surgeon! I would recommend her to any family and friends.

Not at all, She operated on me Aug 2018 I wanted a gastric sleeve Hiatal Hernia repair the surgery failed from a technical error she made within 6 months after I was feeling terrible with extreme gerd ect losing only 60lbs and symptoms of Myasthenia Gravis from the failed surgery. As it turns out my stomach was like a hourglass shape I couldn't drink water easily it would come back up As it turns out when the hernia repair also failed it twisted my stomach making it bigger and it damaged my the esphoageal sphincter which needed repaired by a specialist revision surgeon to repair the damage 2 years after. no I wouldn't recommend her.

My wife had a lap band removed which created a hole in her stomach. Dr. Schwoerer was her doctor and she did a wonderful job. She also did her emergency surgery and was there for us every step of the way. Dr. Schwoerer explained everything to us and our options and my wife is doing much better now.

Would not recommend. Had surgery out of state because that’s the only option my insurance gave. Found Dr. S after having complications at home through a referral to her office network from my PCP. She couldn’t have been less helpful. I puked daily for a week straight and she just kept prescribing anti-nausea meds. She and her staff were flippant, which is already frustrating but when you’re sick as well it’s pretty disheartening. She (or anyone at the office) is unreachable by phone, you have to use MyChart for any help. My surgeon reached out to her and I honestly don’t think she ever heard back. Bedside manner is lacking, she comes off as arrogant and rushed. I understand she has a demanding job, but she makes a nice salary off of the same people she is acting this way to. Kinda feel like because I didn’t have surgery with her and was having complications, she felt like it wasn’t really her problem to deal with. Now I’m traveling out of state again to get a second opinion.

amazing surgeon with great bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Schwoerer to anyone! I came from Arizona and it was the best decision.
