Bad doctor
I’ve been seeing Dr Maddox for years and about 5 years ago he put a Quest Diagnistics lab in his office. All he cares about is doing blood work. Doesn’t want to do anything to help. I complained and he won’t see me any more. I don’t recommend him as a primary care doctor.

Dr. Maddux staff problems
Maddux is a very good nephrologist but some among his staff are incredibly incompetent and one in particular has uncontrolled anger issues! The nurses unit never answers the phone - messages only. And one in particular does not return phone calls; not even to your pharmacy! When I complained about this she lost her cool and REFUSED to get a message to the doctor for a medication substitute I urgently needed. I was dumbfounded. I complained in writing about this clerk and was sent a portal form letter from and admin clerk addressing me by the wrong name! There’s sooo much more I could add: names, errors, failure of staff to do their jobs, etc. A good doctor with a misfits among his staff is a really bad combination. Don’t go!

Dr. Maddux is an awesome doctor! He is smart and committed to providing excellent care for his patients. He stays up to date and ahead of many of his peers by attending medical conferences that provide the latest research and information. He takes great care of my mom and dad. They are in excellent health in their 80's because of his care. I highly recommend him!
