I'm a 37-year-old woman and working mom of three little girls. I cannot walk or stand for minutes without a cane or walker. I have to use a wheelchair for any distance. And with the use of these devices, I'm in intense pain. Dr. Racik told me that I was lucky I didn’t have cancer or that I wasn’t an amputee in regards to my debilitating pain. I can't express what a disgustingly insensitive - not to mention potentially dangerous - comment that was, and coming from a 'pain specialist.' I put it in quotes because Racik did nothing to help, only harm me through several interventions that made me worse. After being told a spinal cord stimulator would be a great option, despite my hesitations, I went in with a hopeful, positive attitude. Not only was this an absolutely horrific experience, he did not 1. see me after the procedure as he promised 2. did not call me that evening as promised 3. did not call me the next day. He also said my connective tissue disorder doesn't cause pain. WRONG.

Horrible bed side manner
He doesn’t let you talk about anything bad cuts you off. He just offers you drugs or shots no dismisses anything else you have to say

If you are strictly looking for a Dr who will give you a TON of pills, he is your guy. If you need a Dr who listens to you and takes care of your issues go elsewhere. Also, schedule in 3 hours since he will make you wait at least that long each time.

I feel blessed to have been one of Dr. Relic patients. He is truly a caring doctor who doesn't mind being hands on! He implanted the permanent spin stimulator in my back and it has been a Godsend. He is just amazing!!

Dr Rakic is a godsend. Without him I couldn't run my business or even get through the day. He's been managing my pain while I await a shoulder surgery. I had to see many doctors for all my issues - they always rush me and treat me like just a number. But not Dr Rakic. He explains everything and never rushes me - I'm so grateful. In fact, I even asked my surgeon if Dr R could be part of my operation because I feel safer when he's around. I don't say this often but I trust Dr Rakic with my life.
