Surfer's Ear Surgery
I just finished up my surfer's ear surgery with Dr. Beros and his team. The surgery was painless and the recover was super fast. I feel like a new man! I highly recommend it if you are thinking about it.

Dr. Beros is the BEST!
I first visited Dr. Beros a few months ago to finally get my deviated septum fixed and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dr. Beros was extremely friendly, patient, and caring from diagnosis to final check-in. He absolutely knows his stuff and went the extra mile in his surgery recommendation to ensure I could breathe clearly afterward. The surgery went super smoothly, downtime was minimal, and I'm happy to say I can breathe freely one month post-op which has done wonders for my sleep and overall quality of life. I'm grateful to have been referred to Dr. Beros and totally recommend his excellent care!

Perhaps Dr. Beros is a good surgeon, but this review is for doctoring. My appointment was to establish care, which requires more time for obtaining medical history & an initial exam. Instead, Dr. Beros rushed & he interrupted me repeatedly, directing me, which was offensive. He didn't get all the relevant information he needed for accuracy. I did not get to tell him my ear had been hurting for days. The result was his report shows an incorrect important detail; he gave me partial information & I was not allowed the time to question him fully about that partial information; he lept to a conclusion with no time focused on me as an individual organism; & two days after the appointment, I was in urgent care with an ear infection! He wasted my time and money. If a surgeon wants to also serve as a doctor, he or she needs to act like a doctor, not just a surgeon. That requires seeing and hearing patients holistically as individual organisms. I am looking for a new ENT specialist.

Excellent Surgeon
I was referred to Dr. Beros by my Endocrinologist 2 years ago for parathyroid issues. After several consultations and tests, I had a Parathyroidectomy. Dr Beros was so thorough in keeping me informed every step of the process. He always took great care in understanding what was needed for a successful procedure. I am now 30 days post op and everything is exactly as described and he did a phenomenal job. If you are seeking a caring, kind and detailed surgeon that makes the process easy, this is the Doctor for you.

I went for severe throat issues going on for 3 weeks. I was directed to Dr. Beros for some reason despite not really fitting any of his focuses. Regardless, I went hoping for validation and a beginning to figuring out what's been happening - but I walked in and was rushed out in a half hour. The entire time I felt he was very dismissive and unwilling to accept my worries, doing a quick endoscopy and seeing nothing. It irks me that he never even mentioned removing my tonsils despite the fact that they've been the source of pain for 2 years. Perhaps if I had opened about my tonsils before he would have believed me. But as of now, I felt like he wasn't even willing to listen to me or my worries.

Dr. Beros performed surfer's ear surgery on my right ear. The surgery was preceded by a very severe ear infection with a dramatic loss of hearing. Initial visits to urgent care, and my primary care provider, were unable to remedy the ear infection. Dr. Beros was successful in clearing the ear infection, which then restored my hearing. We then discussed and scheduled my surfer's ear surgery. Dr. Beros demeanor is calming and reassuring. He always took time to answer all of my questions prior to, during, and after the surgery. My recovery time was 3 weeks. I had little to no pain after the surgery, much to my disbelief, but consistent with Dr. Beros description of the recovery process. I'm now a few months out from the surgery and back to surfing regularly. I've had no issues with my ear since. I'm grateful for his care and expertise during through this process. I would highly recommend Dr. Beros.

I am 6 weeks after sinus surgery with Dr. Beros and feel great! Dr. Beros was excellent throughout the entire process - from walking me through the process prior to surgery, the 3-hour surgery itself, and the follow-up visits to get me to 100%. I am breathing much better now! I would note that in my experience the first few weeks of recovery from sinus surgery is very challenging. For weeks I was was congested with bloody mucus that seemed never ending. People should be aware that it takes a solid month to start feeling good so be patient, but after everything comes out (4 weeks for me), I feel great - breathing better with less headaches! Thank you Dr. Beros!

Dr. Beros performed surfer's ear surgery on my left ear. The recovery and result was better than anticipated. I had the same surgery on my right ear by Dr. Michael O'Leary 5 years ago and the recovery took 4 to 5 months and I had a perforated ear drum. I also lost some hearing. I waited until the last minute to get my other ear done and Dr. Beros did a great job! I highly recommend Dr. Beros. I was back in the water within 3 weeks of surgery. My only regret is that I didn't know Dr. Beros when I had my first surgery.

It is shocking enough to find out you have thyroid cancer but then you add the pandemic into the mix and you don't know how it will turn out. With most hospitals stopping elective surgery I didn't know when Dr. Beros would be able to do my surgery. But he was able to get me rescheduled and do my surgery a couple of weeks earlier than originally scheduled. Dr. Beros explained everything so I could understand it and everything went off without a hitch. If you look at me today you would never know I had surgery the scar is almost invisible and my thyroid cancer is gone.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Beros for approximately 12 years for a chronic issue with both ears. He has performed multiple surgeries on him, including ear tubes, adenoid, tonsillectomy, etc and I cannot day enough fantastic things about him! He is extremely caring and compassionate, and always helpful to my son and his condition. He makes my son feel extremely comfortable with surgeries and has been a godsend to him. If you have a child with ear issues, I would highly recommend Dr. Beros!

Dr. Beros performed surfers ear surgery on both of my ears one month apart. I was close to 99% closed on both ears and have needed the surgery for over a decade. I was to the point that I couldn't surf without the procedure. Both ears went super well and I wish I had done it years ago. I didn't have any pain with either ear and was back in the water only 3 weeks after the 2nd surgery. His technique meant very short recovery time and essentially no pain, at least for me. He also was very thorough and helped clear a long term persistent infection prior to scheduling the procedure. Office visits were always easy with little wait time. Probably the best medical / physician experience I've ever had. I fully recommend Dr. Beros to anyone who needs the procedure.

I saw Dr. Beros shortly after I received a thyroid cancer diagnosis. I was afraid of next steps, surgery, recovery, setbacks, and everything in-between. Dr. Beros was amazing from that first appointment all the way to my post-op appointment, performing the surgery and putting my mind at ease throughout the process. I was nervous about surgery and recovery, but everything was much better and easier than anticipated. He did an amazing job during the surgery, ensuring the cancer was removed, and my scar is virtually non existent. In fact, no one can tell I recently had surgery and it’s right on my neck. I highly recommend Dr. Beros!

This man is an absolute miracle!! I am so so grateful that I somehow got referred to him and his practice by my endocrinologist, randomly enough, thank God :) I had a lump behind my left ear that was growing and growing and becoming more painful as the year had gone on. I went to several other doctors and a dermatologist back home in New Orleans, all of which said it was nothing to worry about, it would go away, it was a cyst, a pimple. No one could give me a straight answer, let alone a proper diagnosis. I was fortunate to relocate to San Diego for work and this man thankfully got referred to me during a endo appointment! I can't express how incredible it felt to have someone PROPERLY diagnose me, to not feel like it was all in my mind and to know it was in fact something that did indeed need to come out. Dr. Beros scheduled me for a paroditidectomy surgery and a few months later I am tumor free and beyond grateful that I found this incredible Doctor! Can't recommend him enough.

I had a great experience with Dr. Beros. The procedure was less invasive than what other ENT doctors do, no drilling! He explained what would happen and how I would feel after surgery. The procedure was not painful. The two to three week recovery was the most uncomfortable part. Overall it was a good experience. I feel better and I'm excited to no longer be prone to ear infections. I recommend anyone with this issue to see Dr. Beros.

I am extremely happy I chose Dr. Beros. Coming back in a couple months to take care of my right ear. Choose Dr. Beros if you need Surfers Ear Surgery.

Doctor Beros operated on my deviated septum this summer. He was very warm and kind during our first meeting, and I found that I wasn't nervous about the procedure. Though he had warned me that I might feel some discomfort post-op, I hardly experienced any pain after the first 24 hours. I didn't end up needing to take any pain medicine throughout the duration of my recovery. A week after surgery, I was back at work with no problems. I would recommend him to anyone that needs this procedure!

Dr. Beros and his staff provided excellent care. I was recommended to him by other medical workers who are impressed by his meticulous skill. I had a partial thyroidectomy and he was thorough in his explanation of the process and gave me realistic expectations. He has excellent bedside manner and I felt that he really listened to me.
