HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!
I have been dealing with this doctor and his office staff for over a decade. The service you get in his Colton office has gone from really bad to exceptionally horrible !! I have been on hold for more than 2 hours, I have to keep calling back because the phone system automatically hangs up after 20 plus minutes, and this is a monthly problem. The staff does not keep notes or lies about patient contacts; I went in, physically, for a UA and the staff stated I was a no call no show for my appointment. Dr. Hesseltine was the only reason to go there and that is just not worth it anymore. He should FIRE the entire staff (including his wife) and start over. I encourage EVERYONE to find someone new !!

Great Doctor
He was a great Doctor I worked with and cares about his patients. I was unable to say goodbye to him which I have regrets for how the relationship ended. Everything happens for a reason. I’m am married now with a 9 year old daughter. I now work 2 miles from home and love my job. Dr. Hesseltine wants to cure pain. I have always known that!

I agree with other reviewers that the receptionists and phone protocol need serious attention. However, once you’ve gotten past those issues, the standard of care is phenomenal. Dr Hesseltine and his health care team have provided me a much happier, more productive life with a pain management program no other physician had been able to achieve. Dr. Hesseltine’s precision and attention to detail, I believe, is what separates him from other pain management providers. Two biggest game changers for me have been thoracic spine RFA (radio frequency ablation), and scapular nerve blocks. This, along with a moderate pain medication program, has given me the ability to better care for myself. Thank you Dr Hesseltine.

Inland Pain are by far the worst medical providers I’ve ever experienced. They have no working phone system. I spend 45 minutes to 2 days trying to get through. There’s no voice mails or operator. The reception staff are incredibly rude- they interrupt, assume they know what you’re calling for, (they’re wrong), have no compassion when you need help, and favorite reply is, “I can’t help you. Everyone’s busy.” Every month I explicitly tell them which pharmacy I use and to stop sending my medications to Ventura CVS (I live in Redlands). They do it anyway so I spend hours each month calling to get my pain meds to the right pharmacy. When I had telehealth visits, the PA calls hours before the scheduled appointment when I’m working, then fails to call at the appt time that I’ve blocked on my work calendar. The PA scheduled a nerve ablation with no discussion with me. An epidural I got caused such severe pain I couldn’t sleep or function for days. The staff were horrible and refused to help.

I love Dr. Hasseltine. There are some serious problems with office staff, however, that desperately need to be addressed. But the doctor himself is great. He has been treating me for several years and I am completely satisfied with the treatment plan he has me on. Wouldn't trade him for anything

I liked Dr. Hesseltine; he is very kind and wants to help his patients. The problem is his is staff is incompetent! Before leaving my first (and only) visit, I asked them if there was any further paperwork I needed to do. She said "no." 4 days later, I'm waiting for my meds, the pharmacy calls & says they can't get them to me because of paperwork issues. It took 2 weeks for the doc's staff to figure out I didn't sign a pain medicine agreement form (I wasn't ever given one). Go elsewhere!!!

Pain Mamagement is a complex speciality. To see reviews of a person unhappy is usually due to not having it managed yet. What i need in a doctor is someone who is knowledgeable, has my safety in the best interest and confidence that they will continue to help me until we can find what works or my pain. Dr Hesseltine was recommended by my physician and he said he would end his n family to see him. After my visit with Dr Hesseltine i can see why other doctors would send their own families as well.

He is very nice, knows his stuff, and is very professional. However, when he says "u can keep your meds" it isnt so, as a nurse comes in and dumps it down the toilet. Then, they tell you he is calling in a replacement medication, however it can be days and days before this happens. THe whole time you are in excrucitating pain and no one there wants to talk to you or return your calls as they said they would. My advice?hide some pills at home because u dont know when U will get anymore

I have been a patient of Dr. Hesseltine for 5 years. With severe injuries to the spine, I'm a difficult pt. to treat, regarding pain control. Treated by many doctors for 20 years, I have to say, Dr. Hesseltine and his staff at Inland Pain Management, "have my back". I'm able to spend the time I need with the dr. He knows my chart inside and out. I trust him to do various treatments, from injections to surgery. The secret's out: Don't take my review lightly. Dr. too good to keep to myself.
